How does everyone feel about the leader of BLM, Mrs Marxism herself, Cullors stepping down?

I'm just curious about what everyone thinks of that? Do you feel scammed for supporting it? Did you give money? Did you march? Did you realize it wasn't real long ago?

A lot of the people who supported BLM are super mad...understandably. 80 million dollars is a lot of power and opportunity to do good things for the community she advocates for. Obviously they're upset to see her step back after not doing a single thing other than complain and use dead black people to sell her brand.

The T-shirts should have been a giveaway, right? Real causes don't need t-shirt money. Real causes have people on the other side of the issue. I've never met anyone in favor of police brutality...even police. It's a complex issue...but being against police brutality is something we all basically agree on. You don't have to pay anyone to say that lol. What else are you against? Poverty? Lack of medical care? Me too....what a coincidence. If only one of us had enough money and the opportunity to use it...

80 million dollars you say? That's great....we may not be able to solve the issue but it's a lot of people who we can help. Oh what? You got a Netflix deal to work on? Ok...

Even the parents of dead family are mad at this....and they shouldn't be. They knew she was selling moral validation. They knew "defund the police" isn't a real solution. She said she was a trained Marxist people....

If you hear someone who says they're a trained Marxist.....and they want you to do something for them, just say no. That's someone incapable of spotting or solving problems. If they were capable of doing these things, they wouldn't need to learn Marxism to figure out how to get you to do it for them.

Honestly, I remember supporters on here who were kind of half doubting it when Defund the Police became the slogan. It didn't make any sense. She's lucky she's not under federal investigation considering the billions in damages her movement caused but hey....I guess she funded the correct Democratic candidates.

How do you feel about it? Truthfully.
Well...I guess on the bright side we can't say that BLM never helped any black Americans out of poverty. It made at least one a multimillionaire.

Ana appears to have access to information about Cullors denied to anyone else. That makes me uncomfortable. I don't think he is making it up, but I wish there was some way of verifying these claims.

I have searched in vain for verification.

No no no....I'm sorry. It's all circumstantial. It's like a series of events that appear to be directly related but haven't been proven to be.

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors erects fencing and electric gate around her new $1.4M home: report

Like how she threw up an electrified gate and fence around her 1.something million dollar property.

It's as if she's expecting some unwanted guests lol. I don't know though....maybe she has a really big dog.

Literally?

Well what's a more accurate word for someone who declares themselves in charge of a loosely affiliated social movement with no centralized authority?

Presidents are elected.

Racists and fascists tend to hide behind the guise of "anti-communism". The idea of equal rights is apparently communist because...the equal distribution of rights?

Falsehood #1. Communism isn't about rights.

The Nazis claimed that they weren't racist, they just opposed Jewish Bolshevism. Their propaganda was about the degenerative influence of Cultural Bolshevism.

Falsehood #2. Nazis were directly advocating for racial eugenics. It's right there in their slogan. 1 people.

The fascists of today have re-branded that to Cultural Marxism. That's right, that phrase is literally Nazi propaganda with a bit of PR spin. It's an insane conspiracy theory about a group of Jewish intellectuals trying to corrupt and subvert "western culture" with Marxism. Same stuff, different decade.

Falsehood #3. Anti-Semitism is on the rise on the left. At least, according to Jewish people .

1*W2KRhbJM97fKbNTavQ3CMA.png

They still use that same anti-communist canard to target minorities.

Awwww....are you a communist? Want to debate the idea? Think it holds up? Lemme guess....it's never been tried?

They aren't racist, they just oppose black Marxists and the equal distribution of human rights.

Not about rights. The 14th Amendment guarantees the same rights for all minorities. Rights are protected, not distributed, but you would know that if you weren't a communist.

They aren't sexist, homophobic, or transphobic... they just oppose the degenerate influences of women, homosexuals, and transexuals on our culture.

Here is the quick and easy guide to recognizing a Fascist. For a more in-depth guide, please read Umberto Eco's Ur-Fascism and watch the video below.
  1. A fascist believes that their national, ethnic, or racial identity is superior to all others.
Italians created fascism and it was not racial. In fact, they had a thriving Jewish community right till the end.

  1. A fascist believes that their nation, ethnicity, or race was previously at the height of its power, but they are now in decline due to corrupting or degenerative influences.
Like how some scholars imagine the US or Africa as a paradise before colonialism?

  1. A fascist believes that they must remove those corrupting or degenerative influences from their nation to return to power. (those influences being the minority being used as a scapegoat, and removal usually gets called "relocation" but usually ends up meaning extermination in the end)
Here's Stalin and his version of "equity"...

"The characteristic feature in the work of our Party during the past year is that we, as a Party, as the Soviet power:

a) have developed an offensive along the whole front against the capitalist elements in the countryside;

b) that this offensive, as you know, has yielded and continues to yield very appreciable, positive results.

{2} What does this mean? It means that we have passed from the policy of restrictingthe exploiting tendencies of the kulaks to the policy of eliminating the kulaks as a class. It means that we have carried out, and are continuing to carry out, one of the decisive turns in our whole policy.

Now, what's a kulak? Doesn't matter...the main features of Marxism is to paint everything as oppressor and oppressed. Kulaks were the "oppressors". As communism continued to fail, the blame of oppression fell on "Trotskyist sympathizers" who were executed. As communism continued to fail, the blame for oppression fell wherever Stalin pointed and many faithful communists went to their deaths professing their loyalty to the idea that was killing them.

I don't trust Marxists because they are idealists who can't solve problems.

I thought that you’d be thrilled that’s she’s obviously given on Marxism and has throughly embraced capitalism!?

Words like 'Marxism' and 'Communism' are thrown around so often these days that they've become worthless. 90% of the time they're nothing but empty accusations standing in for 'policies that I don't like'.

There are only 4 communist nations left in the world today. China, the largest, has been moving closer to capitalism for decades.

Communism is a failed relic of history. It's not relevant anymore, and anyone bringing it up today is just using it as a snarl word to try to impugn anyone or anything they disagree with, often without even understanding how it's defined.

(Please note that I also view people who self-identify as communist or Marxist to be foolish, including the subjects of this thread. But that doesn't mean they can't have good ideas in other areas).

Marxism is dumb but popular for sheep. Best case scenario is you end up back at capitalism with a dictator and a lot less rights. Worst case...you're cannibalizing each other and pretending it's paradise to avoid the wrath of your beloved leader.

Yeah, I am happy that she gave up on Marxism. She's probably still going to try to sell it as her brand....but who would be dumb enough to buy?

Sort of...

There are only 4 communist nations left in the world today. China, the largest, has been moving closer to capitalism for decades.

Technically there's never been a communist nation but that's because there's no plan for one. It's an end state dreamed up by anarchists in one of the more brutal periods of capitalism.

Communism is a failed relic of history. It's not relevant anymore, and anyone bringing it up today is just using it as a snarl word to try to impugn anyone or anything they disagree with, often without even understanding how it's defined.

I don't remember the exact number, but a lot of academics at the university level identify as Marxists. It's a bad state of affairs for education and employers are noticing.

(Please note that I also view people who self-identify as communist or Marxist to be foolish, including the subjects of this thread. But that doesn't mean they can't have good ideas in other areas).

Generally speaking, I tend to think ideas based on truths are useful. Marx didn't understand economics, he didn't understand Hegelian dialectics, but he did understand envy.

Lenin figured out how to use the envy of those struggling against those in power. In essence, Marxism is good for getting people riled up to the point of danger...not much else.

Ok, now that we've established that your claim that she declared herself a dictator for life is based not on her actually doing so, but instead on this very flimsy rationalization, one is left wondering which of the many other opinions and assertions in that and similar posts are also based on the same house of cards. It isn't a situation which makes me inclined to take any of them very seriously.

This woman deliberately mislabeled everything.

I can understand why you might fall for this trick once or twice...but how many times are you going to fall for it?

Black Lives Matter? Nope. She's done nothing for black lives. She hates the police. She profits off black death. She gains nothing by solving either of these things.

Marxist? Nope. Opportunist.

Silence is violence? Clearly not. She's pretty silent now. She claims she wants to spread black joy instead of negativity....funny how she feels that way after profiting from it.

President? When was the vote? There wasn't any that anyone can point to.

Don't get upset with me for pointing out the grift.

It’s not a long list. In fact, it’s much shorter than a) the list of whites killed by officers; b.) the list of blacks killed by blacks; and c.) the list of aborted black babies.

Hammster, if you support Trump you also support abortion. Under Trump, we paid Israel over $10M per day. Israel has very liberal abortion laws, funded by your tax dollars. You were personally funding abortion under Trump, and had no objection whatsoever.

That really has nothing to do with my point.

Please don't post grossly offensive misrepresentations minimizing the suffering of Italian Jews under fascism.

Italian racial laws - Wikipedia

The Holocaust in Italy - Wikipedia

Thanks for proving my point. Jewish population was well integrated, the Italians didn't like the laws and its debatable how strictly they were enforced.

Did the Jewish people suffer under the Germans when they moved into Italy? Sure. Everything you linked basically indicates German influence was the cause, not Italian fascism.

Also did you read the MacPherson Report yet, or are you still making bold claims that you can't be bothered to research properly?

You should probably read this report instead...

Race report: 'UK not deliberately rigged against ethnic minorities'

The report added that evidence had found that factors such as geography, family influence, socio-economic background, culture and religion had "more significant impact on life chances than the existence of racism".

"That said, we take the reality of racism seriously and we do not deny that it is a real force in the UK."

The report also said there is an "increasingly strident form of anti-racism thinking that seeks to explain all minority disadvantage through the prism of white discrimination" which it said diverted attention from "the other reasons for minority success and failure.

Hmmm...sounds familiar.
