That's the Senate chamber they are in. They pushed in due to their being a lack of heavily armed police. In one case they did push too hard at the house chambers and a cop shot them, but due this is probably also due to heavily armed reinforcements being not too far behind, which you can see them arrive just afterwards.

So in other words if it was a "takeover" it only lasted a few minutes? You folks make it sound like they captured the Capitol and held it for ransom and terrorized all the Senators and Congress folks and shot and killed people and all sorts of violent things... if pushing people is violent I guess throwing rocks at police must be peaceful protesting. Maybe they should have throw rocks and bottles at people instead of pushing that way they would not be prosecuted.

When someone doesn't think two groups of people should both have equal justice applied to them for the same criminal acts and rails against one group then what are we to think? Personally I think people who are fixated on Trump supporters but blindly defend BLM's acts of violence aren't interested in Justice at all... but have a desire to punish people that disagree with them in any way they can get by with.

If you support those on the left then you have by default aligned yourself with people who spent almost all of last year defending, supporting, condoning, and refusing to prosecute violent acts by BLM. The fact we have this big push to investigate the Trump supporters by the same people who refused to listen many deaths and a billion dollars of property loss, terrorizing neighborhoods. These people are YOU... the left and they could have stood up to this and stopped it all but...... almost NOBODY on the left stood for justice and wanted BLM investigated and when they stormed and controlled whole neighborhoods and demanded people surrender their houses and blackmailed businesses for money.... silence from the left.
Now you folks want to try and take the moral high ground on Trump supporters? Give me a break. Clean your own house before accusing others of their dirt. The left only wants to fund police if they go after Trump supporters they don't want to fund them if they go after BLM.

I say we should create two commissions. One for 1/6 and one for BLM. Follow the evidence where it leads, charge those who need to be, and let the chips fall where they may. Just don’t start crying when the GOP gets shredded and the Democrats are relatively unscathed.

The contempt you seem to have for Trump supporters instead of just allowing our court system to decide if they are guilty you seem to have already decided that they are. Well, there were a bunch of them in the Congress chambers when Congress should have been in session, so I'd say they technically did take over the Capitol. The time span was very short, but they successfully interfered with Congressional duties. The overall goal may have failed, but the task of taking over the Capitol had brief success.

There will never be fair and just trials for these people involved in the Capitol protests if the left is in charge they will get the book thrown at them. If you don’t make sure there is severe consequences for a putsch, you will have another putsch and the next one might succeed. Is that what you want? Do you want another attempt to overthrow the United States government? Do you want to see our government get overthrown? You've got to be kidding..... severe consequences for only Trump supporters isn't going to stop the left from doing exactly what they accuse Trump supporters of doing. You can call me a conspiracy theorist but I believe the left overthrew the election using every trick there is and the fact that no court would even entertain the evidence given to me speaks it all. If they were about justice they would join in on investigating any possible mention of election fraud instead of trying to bury it and shame people for desiring to be sure.
You also have the left fabricating the "Russian Collusion" hoax with the intention lf convincing people Trump "bought" the election so they can remove him from office.. which is essentially overthrowing the government.
No..... these people need to be tried for what they did..... nothing less and nothing more. Those who deserve leniency should receive it those who do not should not. Fair trials and fair sentences no reporters in the courtrooms no political interference from either party in it all and court orders to silence people involved in trials from revealing things that can upset things till it is all over with. Probably sacking somewhere else in the country.... but then since the people BLM attack and kill are just your average white and black person instead of an elite politician their safety from harm means nothing. We have to protect corrupt senators and congressmen but can ignore black business owners let BLM get them killed while we excoriate Trump supporters who killed.... nobody.
