Beasts in Apocalpytic liturature like Daniel and Revelation - are nations or geo-political-religious systems.

So in Daniel 7 and 8 the beasts are the various empires from Babylon to Rome.

"The mark of the Beast" and the "image of the Beast" and 666 can all be found in Revelation 13

The beast "deceives the whole world" so you won't know what is going on when the time comes unless you are fully informed by the Word of God.

3 I saw one of his heads as if it had been fatally wounded, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast;

60 = 6 X 10 - sinful man disobeying God`s law.

600 = 6 X 10 X 10 – sinful man controlled by the spirit of complete lawlessness.

I believe the fourth beast of Daniel is most likely in our past. The first three beasts are clearly identified and clearly in our distant past with each one succeeding the other. There's no reason to think the fourth wouldn't also have succeeded the third (at least within a reasonable amount of time) which was Alexander the great.

Notice also that three times in Daniel (twice in Daniel 7 and once in Daniel 2) we are told that the kingdom of Christ is established after the beast oppresses the saints for 3.5 years, so if the beast is in our future then we would have to believe the kingdom of Christ has not yet been established. Yet we know that the kingdom of Christ has been established.

It's also likely that the fourth beast of Daniel is the same beast we see in Revelation 13 (the beast out of the sea) as well as Revelation 17. The woman who rides the beast is described as a harlot which is a clear reference to Jerusalem. Ezekiel 16 is an entire chapter devoted to telling us who the harlot is. This can not be denied. Having established that, and knowing that Jerusalem (the harlot) was destroyed in 70 AD we can be further assured that the beast she rides, lived in the first century AD, not in our future.

As for the exact identity of the beast, I believe it may be Rome as Jerusalem did "ride this beast" in a sense, but it could also have been the zealot movement which indeed controlled the city for 3.5 years and nominated 10 generals of which three were killed by one of the ten. It could be said that the zealots literally destroyed Jerusalem, though it was the Romans who invaded. The Hasmonian kingdom and the Seleucid kingdoms both also have strong points to identify them as the beast, but they did not last until the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD so for this reason I would rule them out.

The zealot kingdom actually minted their own coins during the duration of their reign and forced everyone to use those coins for commerce. This could have been the mark of the beast. The historian Josephus tells us that all the Christians escaped the city prior to the war, and not a single Christian was killed during this time as they found refuge in the mountains of Pella, so in that way they were spared from God's wrath.

Interesting fact. The latitude and longitude coordinates of Jerusalem actually add up to 666.

31 + 35 = 66
47 + 13 = 60

So that gives us 66 and 60 but because in Kabbalah’s numerology system zeroes are never counted, instead of 66 60 we actually get 66 6.

Do you think that when the Bible speaks of "the whole world" it literally means the entire globe? Or could it be a reference to simply the whole land of Israel?

I don't find any place in the Bible where "whole world" means "just Israel".

Acts 1:8 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth

It comes up out of the pit, and is cast into the lake of fire... so it's not a human being.
Fallen angels are in the pit... only non-humans are judged prior to the white throne.

STUR is the god(fallen angel) of Babylon whose name adds up to 666.
(The Book of Daniel says that only Michael is fighting alongside God... and so does Rev.12... so the fallen angels aren't fighting against Lucifer, they're fighting for him.
It seems like Saturn must have been the name of the fallen angel of Babylon.)
