I don't go through questionable links to get to real medical articles. I tried to google Stanford study NIH.gov and found nothing but fluff articles, no actual hits to a NIH.gov site. Reddit, Flipboard and American Conservatives are not sites I would click through.

It's not even a study. It's a hypothesis.

After a wander through the site I've found articles which are blatantly anti-semitic and openly pro Nazi. There's also a load of white supremacist garbage.

I gave the link, not because it was a trusted link or a source I would reccomend but to get to a video I could not post that originally posted to Twitter (then deleted) and then posted to BIT...CHUTE (which is one word) but that platforum is censored by CF because of the word in the platforms name and so posting the original was not possible and posting the second wa also not possible which also makes it eay prey for those to go on tangents over sketchy sites and to disregard things.

And it was posted for the video only, and I wouldnt promote alot of the stuff over Youtube either linking there, just as I wouldnt promote all things on this site either by linking to it.

It's painful how little thought goes into disproving the efficacy of masks, social distancing etc online.

Masks are very clearly an effective measure at reducing the transmission of Covid-19.

The virus isn't just flying around by itself, it's transmitted in microdroplets which are big enough to be filtered by masks

It's also painful to witness how little thought actually goes into proving the efficacy of masks. This is a 2 way street.

Sounds to me like you wanna wear a mask. By all means, wear one! Feel free to wear 2 or 3 if it makes you feel safer or more protected.

I gave the link to Aldebaran because its being deleted at supposedly more legit websites, and social media platforms and because Bit...Chute (one word) a legitimate video platform is being censored at CF (while Youtube is allowed who also deletes the same thing) and CF is cencoring it because it has a "bad word" in the spelling of it ("supposedly") so if the person is a LEGIT industrial hygenist with a legit word that is stuck on a less than savory website due to unjust censorship, folks can deal with the video or just continue to censor her voice while virtue signalling how a website is less than savory due to other points of view (which have nothing to do with the video) for which it was posted. Comment on the video rather then gripe about the platform. If you do not like that platform because it has unsavory points of view and creates the need for a safe space, try the title of it over at Bit...chute (one word) and comment on that.

Things like that don't bother me when going around all the unjust censorship, would be far easier if they did not do that because you have to listen to folk gripe about sites and they read just about everything on them except for the thing you send them over to it to read.

Nobody is stopping you from wearing a mask. I hear they recommend wearing more than 1 to decrease your chances of getting COVID-19.

You could also wear a face shield.

It's almost like the voluntaryism you see often with people trying to do the both sides garbage is damaging and the people advocating anything like that are doing so in bad faith
