We've been using the visor since the beginning and in many cases prior to Covid we used them too for a range of tasks.
We also wear gloves. The general public don't really need to wear gloves so long as they wash their hands regularly, sanitise where possible and avoid touching their face.
As for masks being single-use, they always have been. It's not about how long the virus can survive on that surface (which is still open to debate, but on some surfaces up to 30 days).
PPE has been commonplace and required in healthcare for most tasks as it creates a barrier that greatly reduces the risk of infection or cross-contamination entirely in some cases.
Masks aren't that much to ask of people to wear as they're arguably the most effective means, especially when coupled with social distancing, at reducing the spread of Covid.
