Trump lost, do you still think they did something to cause him to lose?

Will they ever be found out?

I do.
I can handle the two because Trump lost it in the end. I think we will suffer tremendously before they are done. I am glad I won't be here for much of it. The thought of the result of giving everyone a free reign, makes me shudder as the country falls into a pit.
QAnon - They actively suggested Trump was in control with information to bring down the institutions of government, put in jail the democrats, and enforce martial law.
Worse still they slandered the political opposition as pedophile cannibals who intended to reduce the worlds population down to 500 million.

How did this junk ever become mainstream? How could anyone want to support an anonymous poster of these nutty ideas as if they held any truth?

Trump with the authority of President did not use this position to squash such nutcase ideas, and was happy to see them spread, and were a key part of the Capitol invasion.

You could argue it is giving publicity to such insanity by talking about it, but when your supporters suggest it is true, and these same supporters believe the election was fraudulently rigged, there is a real need to suggest these folk need counselling help.
In one interview by BBC journalists, the QAnon believer accused the journalists of conspiring with the plot, ie being guilty of future murder and destruction. It is one thing to suggest lobby groups exist and biased positions are put forward, like big tobacco and smoking, but another to suggest genocide by ordinary people doing their jobs.

There is a case to suggest this is dereliction of duty by a President, acting as a foreign agent in ones own country to stir up division and violence for political benefit. The only benefit from QAnon lies is detrimental to all, and the betrayal to not show these folk the error of their judgements to trust Trump is staggering.

The only type of propoganda I can compare this to is the Nazi party against Jews and the suggestion they sacrificed christian children, and ran the world in a conspiracy. It creates the same level of disgust and hatred, which lead to real violence and the concentration camps of the 2nd world war.

If one agrees with this propoganda and its political goals, it is here you get silence, because affirmation would be abhorrent. If there is one real lesson to be learnt disgust used by any political group is the wrong way and a dangerous road to walk, which needs opposing by all reasonable people. In Christ we are called to love our enemies and expose their evil ways to the light. In this case accusing innocents of horrendous crimes and future plans is wrong, a sin of slander.

God bless you

His approval rate was in the 40s his whole administration, and the thing he was banking on was the economy, which tanked during the pandemic. It's also telling to me that he said going into the election that the only way he would loose was if there was fraud. That suggests to me he knew he was going to lose and had already decided on a strategy to fight it.
And it is a good strategy because even if he wins he can say he won in spite of the fraud.

Trump was unusual because he played being middle of the road and nice, while supporting the extreme right groups and pushing conspiracy theories beyond sense. You could ignore the right side of his position while he appeared to be also reasonable.

At the election when he was prepared to support a fraudulent vote accusation beyond evidence fit for court, he passed from possible right wing supporter to dictator. If you add to the fact he lied about almost everything, the only thing he cared about was looking good and playing to an audience.

It is this track record which can be covered up for a short while, but when it becomes open and unreasonable, like not admitting he lost the election and that Biden is president, you have nothing left. Put simply the laws on free speech in the USA are too broad, there has to be factual checking and limiting of the media to spread complete fabrication which is destructive socially and politically. The news media must have to present a balanced view, and offer people from both sides to comment.

What has passed for truth in the last 3 months has gone nuts, and people justify hatred, emnity, and a call for violence because of these unfounded statements. A simple for instance was storming the Capitol and while in the chamber of the house of representatives, to pray to Jesus as if their presence their represents any right or legal standing or is putting things right. It is utter delusion, and encouraged by Trump.

The simple fact of Dominion suing people for defamation and getting convictions over the coming months, will bring some balance back. But for a country to become threatened by these fake conspiracy stories indicates a fundamental weakness in the regulation of these groups and their public display of authenticity. It should have remained on the fringes, as the ideas are too stupid and extreme to even remotely come close to being sensible.

But dare I suggest, if some push them hard enough, a lot of people are prepared to believe this alternate reality, which needs some regulation, unless the consequences are also acceptable.

God bless you
I don't think he was ever a part of the extremists.
He really believed it was a conspiracy as many of us did so You would expect him to stop fighting what he believed? Would you if you were him and you thought it was a conspiracy?

You are suggesting slander is like a battle of how high can you go.

The answer is answering slander with truth and regulating news. Lies create consequences, because trust is based on truth. Lose this you lose democracy. But it is also clear some hold faith yet care nothing for democracy or truth.

These forums shout this in various ways. For some to express liberal criticism is lies and enough to get you banned. I have been called worse than a murderer for holding to following Jesus's example, though this defines the word Christian.

These folk also seem to be ardent speakers of slander with no respect.

God bless you

I realise this is just a front to win. If every competition is responded to with the words fraud, it is not innocent responding but signalled trouble.

To cry fraud you need evidence not blind accusation hoping to find some. Trump knew he won first time by voter manipulation. 2nd time he would only win by fraud cries. He chose his base and speaking alone to it no matter what the middle ground thought.

Revolution was the goal, the intervention act. But there was zero evidence, so nothing could be done. But equally turn people away from open media to biased sources only, gave a chance. There was nothing hidden about this.

Whole videos saying be a patriot, aspire to greatness. Sub text, we are losing it. In speeches it is the commies who will win...... Knowing what is a social democrat is crucial here, but to the right all are communists.

I was accused of this by talking about love being the core of the gospel. To these folk feudal loyalty to Jesus is salvation, like a knight with the cross on their shield....forget the principles.

God bless you

Its your right to deny the truth but the opposite is lies.
Trump has been slandered and lied about plenty over his four years. That is my right to say because I have seen it. I also can easily say that he has done his part in it and that makes me objective because I am able to see both sides.
I will not ease my post with a God Bless you as I don't feel the need to soothe anything I have said. The truth is the truth.
Judging others is Gods job. I don't set myself above him, ever.
Maybe you need to be reminded that God put Trump in office or at least allowed it so those that have fought him for 4 years have fought God. Now he has put Biden in office or at least allowed it. I accept Gods actions.

Well, Joe already put tens of thousands of Americans out of work--and on his first day as President. In other words, people might be overly optimistic about the changeover not being terribly significant.
That's a lot of damage on his first day as President.

Biden begins the end of fracking and destroys Keystone and 20,000 jobs

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/leahb...ays-out-who-bidens-agenda-helps-most-n2583475

Biden to sign 17 executive actions, orders to reverse Trump policies, restore Obama-era programs on first day

For the left, their greatest concern is their ideology and not the well being of America.

I don't think he was ever a part of the extremists.

Then why did he claim to "love" them, and claim that they were 'special' during the riots?

He really believed it was a conspiracy as many of us did so You would expect him to stop fighting what he believed?

Why did he believe that when his own justice department investigated it and found no evidence of voter fraud, and he lost over 60 court cases, including judges that Trump himself appointed? Was Bill Barr, the whole justice department *and* the courts in on this "conspiracy" in your opinion?

Disputing Trump, Barr says no widespread election fraud

Would you if you were him and you thought it was a conspiracy?

I'd check my facts, listen to my justice department, and listen to the courts. That's what I'd do.

I think considering how badly they wanted him out of office, it's certainly a possibility.

But I don't think the Biden presidency is going to make a huge difference in day to day life. I doubt it will be all that much different than when Obama was president. I've lived through 11 or so presidencies and life has gone on through all of them.
I do. I think it will have a profound effect on us as martial law comes into our cities and they flex their power over us in the name of " the good of the country".
And with everyone social distancing and wearing masks and being very alert as to sanitizing where did this second wave come from? And how is it mutating already? This is a manmade disease. Totally unnatural designed to put people on ventilators while their organs fail and they have the plug pulled before they have a chance to make their amends with God and cross over having accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is horrific.

He's also been guilty of that same behavior so it's hard to feel sorry for him. One tends to reap what the sow.

But I don't think the Biden presidency is going to make a huge difference in day to day life.

In light of the slew of executive orders that Joe issued in just the first several days in office, that is not going to be the case. Not unless some court stops some of those from going into effect.

I doubt it will be all that much different than when Obama was president. I've lived through 11 or so presidencies and life has gone on through all of them.
But this election ended normality in politics in America. The totalitarian instinct is rapidly taking over in the wake of the election results, and its effects will be like something never seen before in our history.

You guys have been reading too many conspiracy websites.

And with everyone social distancing and wearing masks and being very alert as to sanitizing where did this second wave come from?

The problem is related to the fact that *not* everyone has been wearing masks and practicing social distancing.

And how is it mutating already?

They are living organisms and that's what they do.

This is a manmade disease. Totally unnatural designed to put people on ventilators while their organs fail and they have the plug pulled before they have a chance to make their amends with God and cross over having accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is horrific.

Even if that's true, it's not going to go away anytime soon all by itself as Trump suggested a year ago. The only way we can stop it, or slow it down is to continue to social distance and get the vaccines into arms as quickly as possible.

This election did *not* end normally, rather it involved a failed insurrection attempt by Trump and his enablers, and a man leaving in disgrace instead of attending the swearing in of the next President as it's typically done. The rest of your paragraph is just more fear based GOP nonsense IMO.

The fact is that QAnon's followers are NOT mainstream, nor are those ideas.

However, the same political turn -- but in reverse -- is becoming mainstream with previously unheard of acts being tolerated when they come from the radical left. Unlike the QAnon people, this movement has the full compliance of the mainstream media, academia, and one of our major political parties.
