You forget the first five books are about the land of Eretz Yisrael and THEIR beginnings, that started with Adam, Eve, Cain, Able and his sisters (chapter five). They were not the first people by a long chalk. Cain and Able lived in the Bronze Age when people farmed the land and kept livestock, sheep for example. Before then, people led a nomadic life. The Israelites were late arrivals on the world stage. They were preceded by other stronger nations.

Neither can the age of the earth be dated from people who were the very last to be created. You would be better studying the age of the first creatures, unfortunately fish do not write books, but we do know dinosaurs went extinct millions of years ago, and they were late in the chain.

The 6 days mentioned in Genesis 1 is defined by an evening and a morning. So this is a 24 hour day. Plus, the weekly Sabbath keeping by the OT saint was a weekly thing that pointed back to the creation week. Furthermore, Jesus said in the beginning God made them male and female and they should be one flesh. This is reference to Adam and Eve in the Garden. The same male and female God made in Genesis 1. For we see a detailed description of how the female was made in Genesis 2. She was called woman because of how she was made from Adam. Wo-man means being taken out of the man. Then there is the genealogy of Jesus Christ in Luke 3 (from Mary's line). Adam is called the son of God implying he is the first man. So this all tells us that the Earth is as old as the Bible records. There is no indication of some other humans before Adam. Genesis 2 is merely the details of day 6. But folks do not like what the Bible says so they change it and or ignore it so as to fit secular Science into the Bible (When it does not really fit). It's like cramming a square peg into a round hole. It just doesn't work.

I am glad you are not an evolutionist, but you talked before about cavemen. Cavemen is a part of the evolutionary package. For cavemen is an earlier form of man according to evolutionists.

As for the fossils in each geological era: This has been proven to be a huge myth. There have been tree fossils going through these different so called geological eras. We also have seashells on the highest mountains. Again, assumptions are made on these different layered fossils by secular scientists who want to eliminate God. When in reality the geological data of fossils proves a global world wide flood and not a gradual sequence of millions of years.

Anyways, there is no denying that you are carrying with you the teachings from evolution as a child. These teachings are hard to let go for some people. When in reality, if all you had was a Bible, and that is all you have known, you would not try to cram outside ideas into the Bible. Kids at a young age are taught the lie of.... “millions of years ago.” This is repeated to them so much that it becomes fact. We do not have a time machine to confirm the age of the Earth. Assumptions are made off of the geological data. Secular scientists have falsely dated rock samples from recent volcanic activity as being really old when that was not the case in reality. So they start off making wrong assumptions to begin with. They have an agenda and it is to erase God.

No it doesn't. Nowhere does the Bible teach that an evening and a morning attached to a day is an era of time. You would need a Bible verse that says,

“When you interpret a day that has an evening and a morning, this is to be interpreted as long era of time.” (Non-existant Bible verse).​

But the Bible does not say this. Again, it just seems like you are desperate to change what the text says. If we are talking about a day that has an evening and a morning to a person, they are going to naturally assume a 24 hour day. If things cannot be read plainly like this then one is not reading the text normally. They are trying desperately hard to make some other kind of belief fit into the Bible where it does not belong. This is what you are doing with the word “day” in Genesis 1.

Just because we are not told to do something does not mean God wants us to do that particular thing. Some things in the Bible are not so easily spelled out for us in following God's will for our lives. But God is more interested in obedience to Him than He is concerned about us having scientific knowledge.

For me: You cannot Christianize certain things. For example: Men today try to Christianize politics, and yet politics is not really the way of God. Does God want us to follow after being a Scientist as a part of His call for our lives? Sure, we need to put food on the table and work at jobs. Even Paul did that. But is that the driving focus of our lives? Would not God prefer us to pick up our cross and deny ourselves and to follow Him? This means preaching the gospel, helping the poor, and loving the brethren, loving one's enemies, etc.

The issue and problem I have with Young Earth Creation Ministries is that the MAIN message is not Jesus and yet it is Young Earth Creationism. They are a ministry, and their ministry is primarily Young Earth Creationism. That is their main message. That is their main focus. Their main thoughts all the time. I would rather focus on Jesus and His good ways according to His Word than the creation. Yes, God created everything. Very good. One knows there is a creator God. But even the demons believe and tremble.

It is different if a person works at a regular job to provide for themselvses and their family. But when a person joins a Christian group, they are saying that this is the way of God because they identify as a ministry. Their ministry message is not primarily Jesus Christ. It is Young Earth Creationism. Their thrust and focus is primarily Young Earth Creationism and it is 5% to 10% Jesus. Jesus does not want us to give Him only 5% or 10% of the glory in our ministry of Him. Jesus wants us to focus on Him 100% and to minister to others with 100% of our lives. For I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.
