Interpreter: Then said Interpreter, Come in; I will show thee that which will be profitable to thee. So he commanded his man to light the candle, and bid Christian follow him; so he had him into a private room, and bid his man open a door; the which when he had done, Christian saw the picture a very grave person hang up against the wall; and this was the fashion of it: It had eyes lifted up to heaven, the best of books in his hand, the law of truth was written upon its lips, the world was behind its back; it stood as if it pleaded with men, and a crown of gold did hang over its head.

Christian: Then said Christian, What means this?

Interpreter: The man whose picture this is, is one of a thousand: he can beget children, 1 Cor. 4:15, travail in birth with children, Gal. 4:19, and nurse them himself when they are born. And whereas thou seest him with his eyes lift up to heaven, the best of books in his hand, and the law of truth writ on his lips: it is to show thee, that his work is to know, and unfold dark things to sinners; even as also thou seest him stand as if he pleaded with men. And whereas thou seest the world as cast behind him, and that a crown hangs over his head; that is to show thee, that slighting and despising the things that are present, for the love that he hath to his Master’s service, he is sure in the world that comes next, to have glory for his reward. Now, said the Interpreter, I have showed thee this picture first, because the man whose picture this is, is the only man whom the Lord of the place whither thou art going hath authorized to be thy guide in all difficult places thou mayest meet with in the way: wherefore take good heed to what I have showed thee, and bear well in thy mind what thou hast seen, lest in thy journey thou meet with some that pretend to lead thee right, but their way goes down to death.

I saw moreover in my dream, that the Interpreter took him by the hand, and had him into a little room, where sat two little children, each one in his chair. The name of the eldest was Passion, and the name of the other Patience. Passion seemed to be much discontented, but Patience was very quiet. Then Christian asked, “What is the reason of the discontent of Passion?” The Interpreter answered, “The governor of them would have him stay for his best things till the beginning of the next year, but he will have all now; but Patience is willing to wait.”

Then I saw that one came to Passion, and brought him a bag of treasure, and poured it down at his feet: the which he took up, and rejoiced therein, and withal laughed Patience to scorn. But I beheld but a while, and he had lavished all away, and had nothing left him but rags.

Christian: Then said Christian to the Interpreter, Expound this matter more fully to me.

Interpreter: So he said, These two lads are figures; Passion of the men of this world, and Patience of the men of that which is to come; for, as here thou seest, passion will have all now, this year, that is to say, in this world; so are the men of this world: They must have all their good things now; they cannot stay till the next year, that is, until the next world, for their portion of good. That proverb, “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush,” is of more authority with them than are all the divine testimonies of the good of the world to come. But as thou sawest that he had quickly lavished all away, and had presently left him nothing but rags, so will it be with all such men at the end of this world.

Christian: Then said Christian, Now I see that Patience has the best wisdom, and that upon many accounts. 1. Because he stays for the best things. 2. And also because he will have the glory of his, when the other has nothing but rags.

Interpreter: Nay, you may add another, to wit, the glory of the next world will never wear out; but these are suddenly gone. Therefore Passion had not so much reason to laugh at Patience because he had his good things first, as Patience will have to laugh at Passion because he had his best things last; for first must give place to last, because last must have his time to come: but last gives place to nothing, for there is not another to succeed. He, therefore, that hath his portion first, must needs have a time to spend it; but he that hath his portion last, must have it lastingly: therefore it is said of Dives, “In thy lifetime thou receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.” Luke 16:25.

Christian: Then I perceive it is not best to covet things that are now, but to wait for things to come.

Interpreter: You say truth: for the things that are seen are temporal, but the things that are not seen are eternal. 2 Cor. 4:18. But though this be so, yet since things present and our fleshly appetite are such near neighbors one to another; and again, because things to come and carnal sense are such strangers one to another; therefore it is, that the first of these so suddenly fall into amity, and that distance is so continued between the second.- John Bunyan's Pilgrims Progress

I mean that he created Woman. Did He not create Woman? Another guy could have been a " helper".
I am pretty confident God did stop after creating Man. Didn't Man not request a Helper?

Let's work through this lads.

So Leviticus says "Thou shall not lay with Mankind as with Womankind; it is an abomination".

Now let's put on our thinking caps. How should a man lay with a woman? If your answer is after the Holy Sacrament of Marriage.. you might get points.

Did Jesus ever condemn anything other than Adultery?

So what is God condemning in Leviticus? Homosexuality?

If two men or women get married in the sight of God is that adulterous?

Biblically, two of the same gender are not meant to marry, that's the problem.

I don't why you say this and may I ask where it is from? It reminds me of 1st Corinthians 13:13.

My wife gave me a book the Master and Margarita at the start of Book Two it says:"Follow me, reader! Who told you that there is no true, faithful, eternal love in the world! May the liar's vile tongue be cut out!"

Maybe I have just gone mad.

The Bible when talking about marriage is always about man and woman. There is no mentioning of same sex marriages.

I have a friend whose brother is a married homosexual. When I said my view about it he got upset. Then I told him that this was not worse than any heterosexual having sex outside marriage, then he calmed down. It's often helpful to see it in the bigger picture. Homosexuals are not worse sinners, they just have other things to struggle with.

Please don't tell me what the Bible says. You are just talking in rumour and hearsay then. Show me what the Bible says.

What does the God of the creation think about homosexuality? He is very clear on identifying the act of homosexuality as a sin. If an individual sows iniquity, they will reap corruption. Those of us that believe and know the Truth are not careful to say…“There is a pestilence in the land because of ‘homosexual’ activity.”

There has been an increase in the acceptance of homosexuality in our country as indicated by the figures collected by the U.S. Census.
NOV. 19, 2019 — For the first time, the U.S. Census Bureau released estimates of same-sex couples in its annual America’s Families and Living Arrangements tables package. According to estimates from the 2019 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC), there are 543,000 same-sex married couple households and 469,000 households with same-sex unmarried partners living together. This compares to 61.4 million opposite-sex married and 8 million opposite-sex unmarried partner households. In addition, 191,000 children live with same-sex parents.

The focus on same-sex couples reflects growing family diversity in the United States, which also includes unmarried partners living together. Among adults ages 18 and over, 18.5 million (7%) are living together, up from 14.2 million (6%) in 2009. Cohabiting couples also compose a larger share of all coupled households now, accounting for 12% of coupled households compared to 10% in 2009.

Even though the masses may accept this, do we believe the Most High God is accepting this?

all sin is an abomination... search the OT usage (not the English the Hebrew) and you will see the word quite common. where I think it is true same-sex attractions and acceptance of such is growing (and I see it as a sin) I don't think an individual needs to recognize all their sin before they begin following Christ but rather recognize are sinful and need Christ. it gets messy but I don't find it productive to count and weight sin because that's not our job.

Please don't tell me what the Bible says. You are just talking in rumour and hearsay then. Show me what the Bible says.

Ephesians 5:25: "For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her."

Genesis 2:24: "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

Ephesians 5:25-33: "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, ...

For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband.
— Romans 7:2

1 Corinthians 7:3: The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband.

Colossians 3:18-19: Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.

1 Timothy 3:12: Deacons must be husbands of only one wife, and good managers of their children and their own households.

Etc.

Planks and such. Can't we just admit we are all sinners and need to follow Christ?

And therefore God condemns Gay Marriage? Can you explain your reasoning?

But thank you for those words as a husband to my wife I need to hear that.

I have allready told you. The Bible only mentions man-woman marriages, never same sex marriages. If same sex marriages are allowed, why aren't there any examples?

Does Jesus allow you to use the Internet? I don't know maybe there were culture reasons that God forgot to mention it.

You are telling me it was really important to God the thing He didn't seem to mention.

Neither heterosexuality or homosexuality is an abomination, but acting sinfully through our sexuality.

That is all I was trying say. Thank you. Also I think Judging others while we believe we will not, is also a sin. I think.

All I hear in my head is 1st Corinthians 13:13 at the moment. I may be very confused.

I don't think you can make a case on this...

I hope you don't mind me asking. Why is this such a big question for you?
