I haven't done this in a long time. I taught my girls how to laugh, cry, vent, and bleed with dignity through the power of song. It was a safe place to share their feelings without giving too much away. The reader never knew if it was personal or a favorite. That was intentional.
Dido crossed my thoughts... so here goes.
Here With Me
Dido
I didn't hear you leave
I wonder how am I still here
And I don't want to move a thing
It might change my memory
Oh I am what I am
I'll do what I want
But I can't hide
I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me
I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here with me
I don't want to call my friends
They might wake me from this dream
And I can't leave this bed
Risk forgetting all that's been
I like a bit of gold...
I've posted a LOT of Depeche over the years.
This is a place for self-expression....
Music is a mechanism for sharing a thought, feeling, or experience without spelling it out. Lyrics are the medium for the telling the story.
You're welcome to add the video if you want.

Puddles the Clown has been one break out talent I have run across a few months ago. The guy can really sing, and sometimes can do a cover of a song and make it better. Probably my best puddle song, he redid the popular but forgettable 1980s hit from Ozzy Osbourne and made it into a real ballad.
