If you go somewhere "after you die" then it isn't hell per se.

Hell is the lake of fire, it doesn't become a thing until the day of judgment.

Post death cognitive, and near death cognitive is related to collective subconscious, but is an imaginative construct.

I don’t think anyone is going to challenge whether your personal experience was genuine or not, but there’s enough in what he said to cause reasonable doubt. Reptilian beings.... that’s the stuff of Hollywood. Fears, excitements, expectations, imaginings, fantasies can bottle up in our subconscious and be released through dreams.

Oh tbch i didn't watch the video I was getting ready to leave for surgery this morning. I just thought it was a regular hell experience like someone who was legally dead and saw hellfire and burned and whatnot. Ive heard many stories about that. But if he said reptilian beings I highly doubt reptilian beings are in hell. Scripture just says people will be burned by fire, wish for water and find none,

Your experience has to match up with scripture or its not an authentic experience. Everything I witnessed from what I remember of it matched with what being baptized by the Holy Spirit was described in scripture. Like being washed ...etc. tbch i don't remember every last thing I saw and experienced. It happened back in 2013. But I do remember the basics.

But yeah lizard people sound highly unlikely. I'll watch the video tomorrow and see for myself.

Tell that to the "Rich Men" that have perished Michael, aren't you teaching contrary to what Jesus preached through His parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man? Have a read through 2 Peter 2 as well, there are very poignant revelations there!

But whether it is correct or not that Hell and the Eternal Lake of Fire are one and the same, the meaningful message is that we don't want to end up there... it's (they) would be an absolutely fearful place to be in...
.... but thanks be to God, those of us that have had our spirit's brought to life through faith in Jesus Christ, and strive to follow Him/His example, will not end up there!

The ‘gnashing of teeth’ is from those that are thrown into the hell dungeon.... but we of faith and trust in Jesus won’t be sent there. The person in the video may have a memorable experience, but it wouldn’t have been had actually in hell. But really, I don’t think that person’s experience, whether it be real or fake, warrants much discussion...better to keep our minds on the positive and bathe in God’s goodness and grace!

(gets even more scared)

It's a gimmick to sell books.

He memorizes a bunch of Bible verses that he believes references hell and demons, spins a "vision" around them and then says, "Look, it matches with what's in the Bible."

There's definitely a place that has weeping and gnashing of teeth after people die, but it's not the hell of the bible - the self torture construct that exists in the metaphysical world outside of our bodies is just a representation of how sick the world is.

I would see a vision like that as a call to ministry, (because I'm peculiar) but perhaps for the person in the video, it was a call to sanctification?

I tend not to take these visions seriously because if you examine them closely, you'll find out they constantly contradict each other. For example, some describe seeing children in hell, whereas others say there are no children in hell because children are innocent. Some talk about differing punishments depending on the sin, kinda like in Dante's Inferno, whereas others do not personalize the punishments. (furthermore, the ones that describe sin-specific punishments contradict on what those punishments are!) The doctrines given to the people often don't line up either--and, quite suspiciously, are almost always in agreement with what the person already believed or had been taught.

Maybe some of these are real. But given all of the above, it's obvious that a huge chunk of them are not--and there is no real way to determine which ones are the real ones. Some people say you can figure it out based which ones are in alignment with the Bible, but while that would allow you to dismiss some as false, it wouldn't prove the others are true. If it says things that are in line with the Bible, it provides no new information, and if it says things that are neither confirmed nor denied by the Bible then the accuracy of those statements cannot be verified.

Because of the impossibility of telling which ones are true and which ones are false, I tend to disregard them entirely.

Thank you for sharing this. I personally don't believe this as others have stated before that no one has ever seen or went to hell before in the bible. If anything, it would be bad for him to see that as that would mean that would be where he will be at the end which is scary to look at it in that perspective.

Right now I'd say the only thing you need to know about hell is found in this Greek phrase: Iesous Christos Nika, it means "Jesus Christ Conquers". Christ has conquered death, hell, and the devil.

Jesus won.
That means you've won, we've all won.
Believe the good news.

I just remembered something. The rich man went to hell from the Lazarus story so there is fact that someone was in hell correct?

well said. It isn't His will that any should perish, He will give abundant opportunity and warning to prevent that from happening.
We are COMMANDED to take ALL things to him for confirmation, even in this thread so many who claim to be Christian are posting "I don't think", " I don't believe", and such and not beginning to even beginning to acknowledge seeking His wisdom and understanding in this.
One of the gospels (at least one) mentions how if all the things Jesus did had been written it would fill many more books than we have. From this we know God, in Jesus did very much more, impacted very many more, encountered very many more that is written in what we have of the gospels. So essential than that we go to Him for His guidance and confirmation of all things.

Hello JSRG. That's an interesting point. The good ones are said to line up with scripture, so why not just study the scripture? Some directly contradict the scriptures. So the best they could do is you give information you already have by reading the bible?

Others cannot be compared to the scriptures as they are said to provide 'new revelation' that might be placed on the same level as the scriptures by proponents. Which could be dangerous.

One result of these experiences, whether good or bad, is that people begin to study them instead of the bible. God Bless :)

I believe this is totally fake. He doesn't look sincere, his face is emotionless, his voice is monotone. The things he describes lack detail or impression, he's clearly reciting a pre-written "testimony" for himself. That's not the manner of someone who came back from an actual vision of hell.

Why did he wait 8 years to write the book if his story was SO important to spread and Jesus commanded him to tell it (per his "vision")?

And one thing that always, immediately turns me off from these types of stories - why is he SELLING his testimony? That right there tells me that someone is lying for profit.
