No, we all do that too, along with wearing masks. It's a game of odds reduction. If you take Covid-19 seriously you will do all of those things because they none of them are much trouble and may well improve your chances.

Mask, masks, masks, masks..... Not one person is going on a rampage over sanitation, or proper usage of PPE. Nope... it is all about that outward appearance of compliance.

There's been plenty of education about proper handwashing, and if you want people to wear their PPE properly, you have to get them to wear it in the first place. And I have seen a decent amount of information on proper PPE use, regardless.

But who is telling people how sick you can get from breathing in your own bacteria, and germs in an overly used, grossly contaminated mask? No one. Just wear that mask. How many people have had that same mask for weeks? They just throw in the center counsel of their car and put it on once they go to a store? What are they breathing in every time they put that petri dish back on their face?

CDC guidelines tell you to wash your mask after use (or dispose of it if it's not washable).

I think many people are going to get sick just because they believe 'throw it on and done'.

So far, that's not what we've seen despite many states requiring masks any time you leave the house. Gut feelings are irrelevant.

Well, when you live in a country that lacks basic ability to ramp up production of life-saving goods, a country that lacks the ability to address quick emergency needs you are pretty much stuck with the "less effective" (but still better than nothing) approach.

I just have cloth rewashables that I wear.

But I assume you DO wear a GOOD mask, right? You DO wear an N-95 or a respirator or something that is BETTER than a mere cloth mask, right?

So how did you get enough N-95's early on? Was it through your work doing whatever requires being fitted for a respirator?

No, I don't wear anything special. For what reason? I honestly do not have any better masks at this time. I have just about everything except masks and emergency food. Don't have the money right now. But I usually by stuff by the case well in advance to an incident even occurring. I think I have a couple.

I don't really take it all that seriously. I'm just a law-abiding citizen is all. I think the entire thing is a ruse to break down our economy and get Trump out of office.

We don't even know what has been seen. A kid falls out of a tree, it's covid. Drunk driver hits someone walking down the side walk, it's covid. Antibodies from other viruses, it's covid.

The fact that this President hasn't met with Dr. Fauci since the beginning of June and that he has been conspicuous by his absence when Trump gives a briefing on the Pandemic speaks volumes as to how much he values the nation's foremost expert's advise!

Dr. Fauci has not been allowed to appear on CNN and MSNBC - members of the White House and Peter Navarro from the Trump Cabinet have been part of an orchestrated attempt to undermine the public's confidence in his medical opinions!

The problem is that the more the White House attempts to sideline Dr Fauci, the more the media and the healthcare community rush to his defense, because he possesses that rarest of all qualities in the Trump Administration - a willingness to "speak truth to power!"

Masks filter nothing concerning the virus. Only catch some of your own spittle. And little to none of your breath below .3 microns. If they're not still 6 feet from you, they can inhale the same particulates your mask couldn't stop, before it enters their mask that cannot stop it.

No it's not. It is actually worse because people tend to disregard social distancing because they are 'safe'. Covid-19 is half the size of the smallest particulate a N95 can catch. (in its largest form) So you can readily exhale it, and someone not 6 feet away can still inhale it.

Glad you wear something.

We do not know how many have died. Why can you not understand the concept of inflated numbers comingled with other data? Same goes with active cases.
