What I have a problem with is the cry bullies who are shaming people who don't want to wear a mask
But remember most of these "bullies" you are talking about actually believe (as I do) that one should wear a mask to help protect other people. Not just yourself.
Society is built in no small way on people coercing each other to act in the benefit to the greater society. At least among decent humans who can so be coerced.
(NOW, I would NEVER want to be the "bully" in the scenario. I wouldn't call someone out on that in public. I don't think it's helpful...but you get the point)
....when the mask they wear do virtually nothing.
So you think. But what if you are wrong and the world's health experts are right?
They think they're being noble for wearing a mask
No, they are trying to get people to do a good thing to help everyone around them as well.
I use to be mask fitted for my job....and I understand what a fit test is.
No one is saying that cloth masks are as good as N-95 or that N-95 would be as good as a fitted respirator. But until your president ramps up production for everyone in the US to have N-95's easily available it's better than nothing.
Do I wear a mask? If the sign on the door says so. It keeps the Karens happy.
Excellent. We can expect nothing more. Even if you do it out of a dark place in your soul "keeping the <insert insulting term for someone else> happy!"
You are free to feel as you wish. If you are right, no harm no foul. But if you are wrong and you pass on bad information, well, there's potential harm there.
