Well, I can't speak for others, but in regards to myself I don't think I exactly qualify as "young" anymore (I'm 29). I guess I'm young-ish. But I feel like for me this is the age where these big decisions need to be made. I'm at that milestone/crossroads age where those sorts of decisions are usually made and set in stone and for me it's just worked out that I'm single and plan to remain so.This is not, in any way, intended to sound like judgment, but I'm sort of surprised by the number of people who don't want kids. And from other threads, who don't want to get married or don't plan to. Some are still really young and have totally given up on the idea of marriage/kids for various reasons.
Does this have more to do with the times we're in today? People have less interest and time for commitments?
As for interest and time for commitments I honestly don't have either. My time is constantly full with other things and the interest is not there. I'm not sure if this is reflective of our society as a whole or just that we all here feel similarly about our life paths.
