My car is ordered because it fits my preconceived notion of what constitutes an ordered car.

Others, with different standards, may disagree.
OB
When did you preconceive that ?

Do you predate Ford ?

By Jingo - you're right!

Perhaps we should rename Heaven to something more appropriate.

Given the millions of trillions of plants and animals floating around - we could just call it Soup.

Not to get off-topic...

One of my favorite extinct species are the Palaeeudyptes. It's a genus of giant penguins. Fossils have been found in Antartica and New Zealand. Palaeeudyptes klekowskii could reach 220cm tall and weigh over 90kg. Imagine a 7 foot tall penguin, weighing almost 200 lbs or more coming your way. That is cosmically uber-cool.

but neither the foundation nor its form can procreate.
I was speaking of creating an entity for a limited time just to advance a larger agenda.

Your mistake lies in ascribing teleological purpose to evolution. In effect you are defining evolution as a supernatural force or intelligence.
OB
That is untrue. I can apply teleological purpose to writing, without assuming the act of forming letters is itself intelligent or a 'supernatural force'.

Anyway, this is commonly done in Evolutionary Biology in an informal manner, with statements like 'tortoises evolved hard shells for defence' or so.

One problem I see with resurrecting extinct lifeforms to populate heaven is that extinct lifeforms often required a particular extinct ecosystem.

An even bigger problem is that life generally requires death. Somebody had to kill some carrots for me to eat this morning for breakfast.

During the flood many animals died.
But an artist has the right to withdraw some of the arts he made.

If the artist knew the outcome before he made the art, why didn't he instead make better art? I think the whole Flood thing is very silly if you think God is all knowing...

honestly, I don't support God's all-time omnicience. I agree with @dcalling, your discussion partner from the other thread. There is no Bible verse that indicated that God always was omniscient. God has the power to know all, though.

However, knowing that 99% of my fellow brothers and sisters support God's all-time omniscience... let me argue departing from this point of view.
Even if God foreknew... it's still free will that enabled man to make decisions, including those God didn't like. In the end, the whole world got messed up... and God had to bring the flood, I think.

In this scenario, it seems to be like watching a movie that you know beforehand. Does that make sense? I watched Forrest Gump twice, for instance. The second time I knew everything, but still... the film was great. Enjoy the culture!

Hmm, then you still end up with God creating people, fully knowing that he will have to kill them all.

What is the difference from omniscience?
God willingly not knowing all.
If He actually chose to not know all, is not a matter of discussion in this thread, though.
I know from experience that these sorts of discussions can be endless.

he will have to kill them all.
all will die, BTW. Henoch did not. Jesus resurrected. That's something.
During the flood, God chose to let 8 people alive: Noah, his wives + his sons and wives.

If you're right, through genetics we should be able to trace every human back to those 8.

God willingly not knowing all.

That makes no sense.

That makes no sense.
Arguing from a human standpoint, choosing to not know something can make great sense. Even if had the opportunity I would prefer to not know everything. This is just my personal preference. But again, this is not the topic of the thread, I think.

There is a difference between mass extinction and all people dying in the course of time, so yes, here we agree.

So you can choose to forget 2+2=4?

My garden didn't occur on its own.

Order doesn't arise from disorder ...
And order, left on its own remans in order...however, there are many other inputs and factors and influences that effect that order....

I forgot, God can do anything so I guess he can do it. But He also can remember everything. Hmm...
HE also could put HIS hand in right now and demand everything be ordered....but that would mean those who don´t know HIM won´t have the chance to after that to know HIM..

GOD lets what HE lets...until the last hour when all that has been accomplished has been accomplished...

Because the perfect original and unadulterated art does not live in a cocoon....it is affected by, and it effects change....

Do you mean that God when He created people, did not know that he would have to wipe them out in a Flood?
