Sure, I'll like to hear your answer.
When a person reads the entire bible and then comes to believe, somehow, that it is God that is choosing individuals to be saved....something will not mesh right.
Ezekiel 18:20-23 clearly states that man is responsible for his own sins...saying that if a wicked man turns to God, he shall surely live and not die.
John 3:16 states that if a person, any person (whosoever) believes in Jesus, he will be saved.
Matthew 22:14 states that many are called but few are chosen.
Here's the catch: They are chosen, but, PERHAPS, they are chosen based on some condition?
The condition is belief in God and/or Jesus. The condition is that we are to be born from above by our own choice....John 3:3,5
If you read the bible over again, or even just the N.T. with the idea in mind that it is MAN that decides to believe in God, everything will look different to you.
If few are chosen because God does not choose too many, it is very sad.
If few are chosen because of their own will to not believe in God,,,then it is easier on us because a person goes to heaven or hell based on what they desire so we don't have to feel so badly for them.
Man is born depraved...but not so depraved as to be unable to search and find God and accept God.
Romans 1:19-20 says that God has always revealed Himself to man and it is up to man to accept God and this is why man will be without excuse at judgement time.
It's something to consider...I know it's now what you have come to believe.
God wills that all men be saved....
1 Timothy 2:4
The problem is that not all men WANT to be saved.
