21 Beloveds, if our hearts do not condemn us, then we have trust before God – 22 and whatever we ask, we shall receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment: that we believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave commandment. 24 And he who keeps his commandments dwells in him, and he in him. And by this we know that there abides in us of the Spirit that he gave us.

Seeing as Jesus answers all my prayers, I'll trust what His word says about me and not someone proud of their sins.

He answers my prayers as well (and sometimes the answer is no), but I also know I'm not the model of sinless perfection. I'm more like Paul in this regard as he describes himself as not yet achieving sinless perfection in Philippians 3, but continues to press on towards that goal. He also states that those who are mature think that way.

I'm not perfect either, but as long as I can go to be with a clear conscience and am holding no grudges, and being forgiving, He answers all my prayers. The answer is never no. That is not in agreement with the scriptures referring to them.

Cool. Then pray for this virus to clear up by this evening.

That would be my will only, so why bother. He answers the prayers that are His will.

I can hear His voice, and He will tell me what to pray, I quote His words, and the prayer is answered; sometimes within seconds.

Got it. You don't want to demonstrate that sometimes He says no.

Got it. You don't want to demonstrate that sometimes He says no.

Jeremiah says that if it is not His will He doesn't listen. Or you ask amiss. Like here:

James 4:3
3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

But if you abide in Him and listen then you will never receive a no:

1 John 5:14-15
14 And this is the trust that we have in him: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we will have the petitions that we ask of him.

1 John 3:21-24
21 Beloveds, if our hearts do not condemn us, then we have trust before God – 22 and whatever we ask, we shall receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

John 15:7
7 If you abide in me, and my words also abide in you, ask what you will, and it shall be done for you.

John 15:7

I'm more than familiar with these passages, but you don't even see your issue. You are not sinless and you do not understand the perfect will of God. And if you sit there and tell me you have perfect understanding of God's will, we are then back to the 'not sinless' part.

Thinking you should pray that He reveals your sin to you, but be prepared to be broken.

Very well presented.

Problem is that there are sins we live in , that as of yet God has not revealed as sin! The closer we get to God the narrower the path of righteousness becomes. Just like a comparison with a child and adult. A child is given loits of latitude thought they do wrong, while an adult is much more responsible and less allowed to do things a child can!

We are like onions of sin! the more we grow in the Lord the more layers He peels back to show us what is sin for our life!

There is no sin in the life of the Born Again Believer.

Do I have perfect understanding of God's perfect will? When did I say that? I just know that when God tells me His will on a specific matter, and I cooperate with God, and repeat His words in prayer that are absolutely His perfect will for that matter, it comes to pass.

I'm not special. What God has given me anyone may have who abides in Christ. It is just one of the gifts of the Spirit called prophecy. And no it doesn't make me a prophet. That is an office, and He has never once said He was giving me the office of prophet. But in 2001 He did speak to me and told me He is giving me the office of teacher. I guess because of my passion for research and His word and wanting to know what He means in every verse, not what some man-made denomination says it means.

When I am bothered by a verse I do know to ask God because that is written. I don't have to wait until He tells me to ask. I just believe His word in James 1:5-6 and have no doubt He will answer. The answer comes immediately. After all, it is His Word that He wants us to understand perfectly.

What I do have to wait on Him for is when I am in need of something else, or for when I am praying for someone else. What is not taught in the Church today, is this mindset that I'm teaching you right now. You may scoff, or you may want to ask God to set you on a path to be able to receive everything God has to offer you too. That would be His will for you - to seek Him with all your heart. You won't be disappointed.

So, what's your take concerning Galatians 2 when Paul calls out Peter for his fear and hypocrisy? Was Peter not a born again believer?

Did it say anywhere in that recounting of the incident, Peter committed a sin?

That's your answer? You think I am scoffing? I'm sitting here is absolute astonishment at the arrogance shown by a few concerning the abundance of self-righteousness.

That's amazing. It seems at least 90% of the time I ask that of the 'sinless', they just can't seem to find it. It's an astonishing trend.

Verses 11 through 13, specifically. Both Peter and Barnabus.

and @SeventyOne

Peter committed a trespass, but so did Paul by writing about it without Peter's side of the story. They just needed to forgive each other and their trespasses would have been cleansed. This is the type of sin NOT unto death that Christians commit, until the fruit of the Spirit in those areas of self control grow to maturity.

It is not self-righteousness. Before I was filled with the Spirit I was a mess. I couldn't stop sinning. I KNOW where my strength comes from. Immediately when I received the Spirit is had no desire to sin, where just the day before I couldn't stop.

Do you realize how many accusations you are throwing my way? Is that not scoffing? You are becoming an accuser of the brethren without cause. I just want to help you have what I have been given. It is a free gift.

Peter was a hypocrite and lead others astray as well, meaning he also caused others to sin. And if Paul also sinned by recounting the story the way he did, is that a claim that the Spirit who inspires scripture caused Paul to sin, or is it that it isn't actually inspired scripture?

JIMINZ, read Psalms 1:1 in a number of different translations and you will find some use the word scoff, while others use the word mock. It is good to practice believing someone until shown otherwise, because God hates mocking. The mockers on the Day of Pentecost who did not understand the tongues, were showing their heart, and were prevented from believing and receiving.
