Federal prosecutors have declined to charge former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, closing an investigation into whether he lied to federal officials about his involvement in a news media disclosure, McCabe’s legal team said Friday.

Trump probably isn't going to care for that. But he shouldn't complain if he really has the authority to do what he states in the following article below. This is his excuse every time thusfar. He can intervene, yet he chooses not to so far. Why not? He has to start somewhere, doesn't he? Simply complaining about these things is not getting the job done, is it?

So someone made a complaint, a whistlerblower, about McCabe to the IG. The IG credtified it as credible and turned it over to the DOJ. The DOJ spent a year investigating whether McCabe told his subordinate that they could leak to the NYT about the Clinton Foundation investigation.
And yet they declined to investigate another whistleblower complaint, so the House committees had to take it up.
Yes, this is interesting.

With the collapse of the McCabe diversion, Trump's "deep state conspiracy" story falls apart.

Personally, I think Barr is trying to delicately distance himself from Trump without angering Trump. He probably sees where things are moving, and doesn't want to be yet another Trump toady tossed under the bus.
