In the unlikely event of there being an afterlife what will it be like? Would we be the same people we are here on earth or totally different? If someone passes into the afterlife as a child, will they stay as such, not growing into an adult? If a person has a disability or illness will they continue to suffer from it?

What do others think?

Tennessee Ernie Ford sings it well:

Because you drawn to think about it, and have the ability to conceive it, then it is far more likely to happen. What fish is not content with the water it lives in and longs for another world?

I hope it doesn't happen, once dead I hope to stay that way.

Yes, we are all worried about all of our life being seen by another person.
But as I said, you thinking about an afterlife makes it far more likely to happen.

You were alive before you were born.......and after death, you will become what you were before you became who you are now. If who you are now is all you remain in this life, you will have no knowledge of who you really are, and who you really are will have no knowledge of who you are now.....because you are not who you think you are.... therefore you essentially die, never to rise again......but not really.

Pretty simple, wouldnt you say?

This is not a courtroom either.
Why ask for an opinion at all one is going to do is say nuh-uh. And degrade them. Every. Single. Time.

I hope it doesn't happen, once dead I hope to stay that way.

and unless you are willing to believe otherwise ... you will stay that way ... for eternity.

There is a better future ...

“He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.”
—1 Peter 1:3-4

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
—Revelation 21:4

a very different world (one of complete peace and harmony) awaits for those who believe

Eternity with complete peace and harmony... think about it.
