We Are Israel

The main problem we as a people have is identifying with Israel which is the name God gave his people. Here take a look at these scriptures:

Ephesians 2:11-14
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made BOTH one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

This states that we were strangers from Israel, but now we are not.

Galatians 3:16 KJV — Now to Abraham and his SEED were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Galatians 3:29 KJV — And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3:7 KJV — Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

These clearly state we are of the seed of Abraham if we have faith. Therefore we are of Israel.

:) Beautiful post. AMEN.

It really opens the bible up to a whole different view point. When we look at it as a Jew and Gentile thing, then you may miss a few blessings that he has for his people. I am blessed as well to be part of Israel and i am waiting patiently to see new Jerusalem.

Be blessed. In Christ, always.

We have been grafted into the olive tree, but we are not the natural branches, we are the wild olive branches.

Were the Gentiles given the Law of Moses, did we provide a womb for our Saviour? These are the natural branches.

We are the spiritual seed of Abraham, not the physical seed of Abraham. There is a difference, even though we are one in Christ.

Abraham had the law before Moses:
Genesis 26:5 KJV — Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

We are the seed of Abraham by faith. Therefore we ought to do the works of Abraham.

One in Christ is one, not two.

One plus one is not equal to one it's two...

Do you, when you adopt a child, not give him inheritance as equal and call him your own?

One into one (1/1) is one. We are grafted in. We are children of the living God. We are Israel. We are the children of circumcised hearts.

The church must understand now or later that we are the second choice of God.

Israel has been temporarily replaced by the church. There is nothing permanent about it.

Gods plan from the beginning was to redeem all mankind with his Son:

Genesis 3:15 KJV — And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

That seed is Christ. God choose Abraham to be the one whom the promised Seed would come from. Jesus has made the way for us to be one with Israel.

We were always Gods... God had a plan, and from the beginning it was so to include the whole world.

"Oh, praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!…The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising" (Psalm 117:1 and Isaiah 60:3).

Israel (nationality) was chosen to bring forth the Christ, and He, the Messiah, to be the Light of God to the whole earth!

We were chosen. We aren't second best, we aren't an afterthought - oh well, I'll just be nice to these horrid ones - we were foreknown. It was always the plan.

Yes, the Gentile could come under the covenant with God and still can today.

In fact there are Gentiles in the genealogy of Christ.

But the nation of Israel was God's first choice and He has not forsaken that.

So when God chose Israel to proclaim the Kingdom of God to the world, they rejected Him, and what did He do?

He turned to the church to proclaim the Gospel.

Of course God knew what would happen, but that doesn't change the fact that the church was His second choice.

Christ is Israel (corporate head). He is the fullness of believing, faithful Israel..

Try reading up about the faith. A good start is "Jesus and Israel, One Covanent or Two?" By David Holwerda.

Matthew 15:24
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 4:
12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

That's correct! Jesus chose the nation of Israel to spread the Kingdom of God.

That's why they were given the law and were the people from which our Lord would be born.

But they rejected Him and He turned to the church.

There is only one covenant! Both Jew and Gentile make up this one covenant.

But the church is not Israel! We are not the natural branches of the olive tree.
