I don't believe its possible to time travel in the sense of leaping years ahead, or back in time.
But to run with the idea a little, what if it happened
involuntarily like in the film The Final Countdown where a aircraft carrier gets caught in a time warp and taken back to the eve of Pearl Harbour?
I don't beleive in time machines though.
A question I find more relevant in that it might one day be possible is would travelling to another planet in the solar system be a sin? Earth has an escape velocity, and its only in the last fifty or so years that humans have been able overcome this - was this meant to keep us from venturing further than our own planet.
CS Lewis's Cosmic Trilogy is very interesting in this regard. The antagonists Weston and Devine travel to Mars and Venus, and by doing so kindle the wrath of the unfallen tutelary spirits that rule those planets for God.
