Trump's letter is insane. It is not a "scathing letter to Pelosi." It is a sign of illness

Oh, haven’t you heard...?

Donald always makes the ‘right choices’....everything he does is “perfect”...
I dunno; I'm always worried that the worst thing that can happen is being convinced that your friends are your enemies and your enemies friends. I do dig the Orwell quote though.

It is unlikely that Trump wrote the letter himself. He can barely communicate in coherent sentences in a tweet with 280 characters or less without misspelling basic words (hamberders, boarder security, unpresidented, rediciulous, covfefe, honer, leighweight, smocking). He also has the speech level of a fourth-grader, so it is doubtful that he can write a six page coherent and complex letter on his own.

I posted the following letter he did write and sent to a retired English teacher in the other threads. The teacher corrected his grammar and then sent the letter back to him at the White House.

To think, Dan Quayle misspelling "potato" was enough to forever give him the label of not smart enough to serve as President.

The GOP has come a long way.

Shouldn't we be praying to have God give the President the strength and power to make the write choices?
Wouldn’t that violate the president’s free will?

He has the strength and power to make the right choices now. He chooses not to because he’s never been held to account for his actions. This is why he lashes out like a spoiled, petulant child whenever he is held accountable. His very own behavior underscores his unfitness for office. His childish screed he sent to the Speaker yesterday is the documented proof of his inability to accept any responsibility for his conduct. The president is in a situation of his own making.

Childish screed? Did you actually read it? It sounded like well thought out and tempered; it didn't sound unhinged or inept at all. If someone attacks you and misquotes you to make you seem like a bad person there are far worse words one can use and I thought it was quite levelheaded and to the point. I don't understand why there's such a dog pile on the man.

Golly gee, I have heard so many Christian preachers praise Trump's misdeeds over the past three years, praise of his dishonesty, promiscuity, bribery, cruelty, slander, sloth, etc. that I fear that many of the flock has become confused as to what is right or wrong.

I have never been excluded from attending a funeral because of hatefulness preceding the deceased's demise.

But this is getting silly. I think that we have pretty much established that Trump is not capable of writing a six page letter using polysyllabic words, although the emotional content reflects Trump's feelings, so it's one of only a few misdeeds we can't hold him accountable for.

According to many of Trump's loyal supporters, they didn't vote for him because he was a choir boy and they didn't vote for a pastor. Many of them have expressed the personal relief of "at least he's not Hillary Clinton!" while fervently trying to rationalize how they voted for the lesser of two evils. Many of his supporters have tried to excuse Trump's immoral behavior by insisting that no one is sinless and perfect, but the willingness to forgive the sins of our national leaders is never extended to Democrats.

On the contrary, stones are cast from every direction at a Democrat who is caught in a lie or who is guilty of some other sinful behavior. It has become apparent after listening to many conservatives that only Donald Trump and his loyal Republicans shouldn't be judged for their sins. On the other hand, it's apparently open season on Never-Trump Republicans (human scum) and "Do Nothing" Democrats.

Can we not talk about assassinating the president; this is a Christian Forum, and the guy is doing the best he can. I'm impressed how well he is doing despite the about of flak he's constantly getting, and for the record, I do not want to assassinate the president. :relieved:
Of course you realize the mere mention of this has activated the computer bots and brought those particular posts to the attention of the Secret Service. So those making those illegal statements will be evaluated and dealt with soon enough.

Never has our media mock and belittled a man before; to his hair, to the color of his skin, to him pointing out corruption within the ranks as a bad thing. Never in my life have I seen this happen to anyone else. I really don't understand it and it seems like everything they're accusing him of is mere hearsay or simply based on undeserved emotional hatred.

It must be working. Remember when only a short while ago pussyhats weren't just collectors items. People have a shorter attention span than a cat.

The money is on Steven Miller having written it. All that Trumpian hatred and vitriol combined with a vocabulary of more than 1000 words.

"Trump worked on the letter for more than a week, revising drafts with policy adviser Stephen Miller and legislative affairs director Eric Ueland, according to a senior administration official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to disclose internal processes. The president did not want White House lawyers to review it until the final stages, the person said, and some of them warned against including certain passages."

The US is ill. All countries have ill people. Not all countries allow one to be their head of state. A nation of 300 million people, and this is the best they can come up with.
Those best suited for power & leadership tend to not seek it.

Theirs is often the Kingdom which has no place within the framework of man's traditional systems other than as an example of counter cultural behaviour. Arrogance, vanity, self interest, mockery, predatory behaviour, those are the ways of man and man's governance regardless of form or party.

It is a childish screed. It is blatantly partisan and ignorant of facts. It is an extended grievance tweet like we’ve seen over and over throughout this presidency. If you don’t understand why people are naturally opposed to a president who constantly lies to the American People, both directly and through his media arm in Fox News, disregards the rule of law, establishes back alley channels of diplomacy with his personal lawyer to suit his own benefit and deals in unfounded conspiracy theories to smear his opponents then, I really don’t know what else to say. Perhaps if he hadn’t insulted his way into the White House he’d have more people on his side. Character counts.

I can understand their frustration. It took me all of two minutes to see Trump was a flim flam man, at the beginning of his campaign. It may have been when he bragged about his sexual prowess at the debate. It may have been because he continued to promote birtherism when it had clearly been debunked.

My husband used to call flim flam men who advanced as top executives "empty suits." It took me a little longer to completely see the moral bankruptcy contained in the empty suit, as miles and miles and miles of evidence against him piled up.

And so the media is horrified, along with 700 lawyers, 700 historians, the leades of the free world, and at least 55 % of the country. They keep hammering on it because they can't believe so many people fail to see the truth it took them two minutes to find out.
