Trump's letter is insane. It is not a "scathing letter to Pelosi." It is a sign of illness

The money is on Steven Miller having written it. All that Trumpian hatred and vitriol combined with a vocabulary of more than 1000 words.
That does sound right. I knew guys just like SM and it sounds like them.

I’m old enough to remember the film ‘Old Yeller’. I still recall that Tom Kirk realised when the only decent thing to do was to put a bullet into his beloved dog’s head...
Ah the good ol' days when life was real. At least Reagan with his cognitive impairment was willing to speak what he was told to say by his handlers. Rabid critters are not so dependable.

Good lord, that is embarrassing.

Part of me wonders if this impeachment vote were coming a couple weeks into Trump’s second term, if a whole host of Republican senators would turn on him to install Pence and try to salvage some of their dignity.

They would never; their base would assassinate them for being "traitors" to them (not the nation).

In fact, the point of all of this is to keep us distracted from a more immediate demise, as usual.

Imagine if a female president woke up every morning to complain about people being mean and unfair to her on Twitter followed by a poorly written letter like this?

We are truly in the era of mediocrity, from people that love to spout the virtues of merit.

I can imagine a way for them to get away with it - they'd need good messaging and a full court press from the politicians, the conservative media, and other conservative figureheads (e.g. Falwell, Franklin Graham). The base will believe whatever message those folks tell them, and if those public figures could unite behind the message that Trump is betraying the base and that Pence will be more faithful to them, then they could squeak it out. The chances of achieving that degree of unity, however...

This isn't even mediocre; this is downright embarrassing. If I went around my office whining like that, I'd never have a chance of making Discipline Lead on a project, much less Director of anything. I don't think the folks who perceive him as strong really know what strength looks like.

Can we not talk about assassinating the president; this is a Christian Forum, and the guy is doing the best he can. I'm impressed how well he is doing despite the about of flak he's constantly getting, and for the record, I do not want to assassinate the president. :relieved:

I suggest you re-read the posts. No one suggested assassinating the President. What was suggested was that Trump supporters would want to assassinate any Republican politician that supported impeachment.

Nobody does. Neither do we want to see Democrats "hunted down" if Trump is removed from office--as has been advocated by conservative Christians in this forum..

It is unlikely that Trump wrote the letter himself. He can barely communicate in coherent sentences in a tweet with 280 characters or less without misspelling basic words (hamberders, boarder security, unpresidented, rediciulous, covfefe, honer, leighweight, smocking). He also has the speech level of a fourth-grader, so it is doubtful that he can write a six page coherent and complex letter on his own.

I posted the following letter he did write and sent to a retired English teacher in the other threads. The teacher corrected his grammar and then sent the letter back to him at the White House.

I doubt that the Democrats will be "hunted down" if Trump is removed. People don't act like that and that's simply fear mongering.

I certainly don't want to see the President assassinated. I remember seeing "The Parallax View" years ago. Trump's allies would find some way to blame it on some poor hapless progressive who was at the wrong place at the wrong time. We don't want to make a martyr out of him. When I think of the holy saints and martyrs, including our modern day martyrs MLK, RFK, JFK, Archishop Romero, and others, it would dishonor them to include Trump in their principled midst.

Trump is 73 and his health habits are abominable (like most of the information he allows to be released, I am sure the medical reports about him are false). But his parents lived long lives, and who knows, they may have eaten cheeseburgers in bed, too. His mother died at 88 and his father died at 93.

I do think the only way our world will be safe from Trump will be if he dies. Even if he loses the next election he will start a TV station that will make Fox News look unbiased. He will use his demagoguery to incite his followers, and the violent ones around him, the KKK, Alt Right, militia, etc. will perform even more acts of domestic terrorism.

But all we can pray for is that his myriad bad eating habits, anger management issues, past promiscuity, etc. will be rewarded by karma and that our world will become a safer place.
I think praying to God for someones demise isn't very Christian.

...suggest you read the guidelines for posting here. In the last few minutes, you have incorrectly suggested someone was discussing actual assassination of the President when the reference was clearly not....and now, you question another person's motives for praying?

Golly gee, I have heard so many Christian preachers praise Trump's misdeeds over the past three years, praise of his dishonesty, promiscuity, bribery, cruelty, slander, sloth, etc. that I fear that many of the flock has become confused as to what is right or wrong.

I have never been excluded from attending a funeral because of hatefulness preceding the deceased's demise.

But this is getting silly. I think that we have pretty much established that Trump is not capable of writing a six page letter using polysyllabic words, although the emotional content reflects Trump's feelings, so it's one of only a few misdeeds we can't hold him accountable for.

Not to mention that stating or implying that another Christian member, or group of members, are not Christian is also not allowed. The implication was praying for someone's demise isn't very Christian.

Fantine changed there post! They said "But all we can pray for is that his myriad bad eating habits, anger management issues, past promiscuity, etc. will be rewarded by karma and that our world will become a safer place."
Changing it making me look like a bad person!

Shouldn't we be praying to have God give the President the strength and power to make the write choices?

Oh, haven’t you heard...?

Donald always makes the ‘right choices’....everything he does is “perfect”...
