  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does the recently confirmed existence of UfO's pose a threat to Christianity?

How would gospel based on Jesus Christ' humanity on cross apply to inhumans?

On the other hand, UFOs are much probably from this planet.
In all honesty, I do not believe in other humanoid life forms on other planets.
Be blessed.

I used to chide my adult children about studying demon activity when they watched para-normal activity shows on TV. ^_^ The world is as prepared now with flights to become the next generation of aliens as Atlantas ever was ^_^
Wish it was so funny, yes....

unfortunately, it appears that much of the whole concept of aliens, and using deception and fraud to 'create' alien type characters, and visitations (man mad), have been used for an unknown number of centuries, to deceive the people ... to get the people more 'compliant' ... in a bad, very bad, way....

Not everything you call deception is deception.
Whatever God says is deception, or reveals in the LIGHT (JESUS) as deception, IS deception.

Whatever God says, is what we all in Christ are SUPPOSED TO SAY.

Whatever God reveals and says, is what I reveal and say. So yes, if I call it deception, it is because I have "both seen and heard" the truth, revealed by God, in line with and in His Word, and it is Him who said it first, to tell others.

Quote God calling UFO darkness.
Later if God Permits, and if He grants the time to do.

Otherwise, as James says clearly, if any of you lack wisdom (including believing false aliens exist),
let him ask of God, WHO GIVES TO ALL MEN
freely and without reproach, .....

Jesus is our (Ekklesia, born again ones) Wisdom and our Knowledge (and our experiential knowledge) with God the Father.

So ask HIM TODAY, and if you hear His Voice, do not rebel as they did in the wilderness, and perished.
Whenever , and alway when He enlightens us, whenever and always when He grants understanding, it is truth.

Sept 2019 the U.S. Navy confirms existence of UFOs with hard evidence including visual sightings over a period of years -- and also tracking them on radar as well as engaging them in arial maneuver (dog fights) where they are not firing on anything just trying to follow/track it.

The military has many top secret projects that fly and have been called UFO's. The best discussion on demons posing as aliens and fabricating the deception of UFO's with the military is found with a talk with Christian YouTuber, Sean from SGTreports and Christian documentary film-maker Justin Faull. This talk last 1 1/2 hours and is in two parts. What they say regarding the history of UFO's and the military is eye opening.

Post Script

I wonder why so many Christians believe what atheist, secular science (that is hostile to the reality of God and the spirit world) have to say about life and reality more than what the Living Truth, God Almighty, Creator of the Heaven and Earth has to says in the Bible.

God only gives us 2 reasons (which are still one) why He created the stars and the universe: to tell time and to know the prophetic calendar.

Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Because of the influence of evolution on our thinking, and the reality that there are billions of stars, we "naturally" assume that the chance of life being on other planets is probable. But where in the Bible does God indicate that he used "evolution" to create anything? Nowhere. John is very direct in saying that God, that is The Word, who is Jesus Christ, made all things.

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

What designer throws in anything irrelevant to the purpose of its creation? No one. The purpose of the stars, sun and moon is to keep track of time. It is a cosmic clock, and nothing more.

Most Christians assume that the we live in a helio-centric universe because that is what we are told. And, after all, look what NASA has accomplished. This proves it to be true.

Yet the Bible describes a Geo-centric creation with the Earth as the center, while the sun and moon were added after the creation of the Earth on the 4th day. Does anyone actually believe what God says?

And NASA is a lying organization not to be trusted. One of the co-founders of NASA was Jack Parsons who was an occultist.

Jack Parsons (rocket engineer) - Wikipedia

NASA has been engaged in deception and mind control from the beginning. Oh yes, they actually create rockets and have sent satellites into orbit and probes to our other planets. But that does not mean they are right about the universe.

Creation scientists have shown alternative mathematics that show a geo-centric universe that still accomplishes the same results.

Many people who have been discussing this idea for a long time ... claim that publicly admitting to it would be a problem for Christianity.
I see no problem for Christianity since we have believed in flying vehicles and creatures since the very beginning.

But it is interesting and a little exciting to think that they could be part of the end time deception that the scriptures tell us is coming on the earth.

I for one welcome a good spiritual battle.

For that matter I'm more than ready for the Rapture of the church if it comes to that. Bring it on.

Hi YSJ,

a threat to evangelism in the context of a public being informed that UFO's are real and not merely swamp gas?

Actually, as a UFO, it could be swamp gas. It just hasn't been identified as such, yet.

God bless,
In Christ, ted

I don't see why aliens would be a threat to Christianity in any way, but obviously, these objects could have any number of explanations that don't include aliens.

"Space Aliens" are really just demons / fallen angels in disguise.

from this site: Alien Abductions and the Orthodox Christian

Here's a quote from the site written by Archbishop Chrysostomos of Etna:

"It is worthy of note that the late Father Seraphim Rose, in his book "Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future" (Platina, CA: Saint Herman of Alaska Brotherhood, 1990; Revised Edition), has also examined the phenomenon of alien visitations to earth from an Orthodox standpoint. He devotes an entire chapter of this work, "‘Signs from Heaven:’ An Orthodox Christian Understanding of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs)," to the true nature and meaning of alien contacts with human beings. Though Father Seraphim, at a superficial level, approaches this matter in a way reminiscent of Protestant fundamentalistic thinking, and while his materials are dated and center only on more sensationalistic abduction reports—deficits compounded by the fact that some of the authorities whom he cites are clearly on the fringes of science—, his deeper analysis of the phenomenon is ingenious and supports much of what I have suggested about alien encounters with humans. He also observes that the aliens in contemporary abduction reports are similar in appearance to the demons which, for centuries, have been described in Orthodox literature (p. 134). In fact, he recounts two cases of demonic "kidnappings" in fifteenth- and nineteenth-century Russia that, in Father Seraphim’s words, are "quite close to UFO ‘abductions’" today (pp. 136-137). It is his conclusion that classical demonic possession, known to the Orthodox Church for centuries, accounts for the alien abductions that we see in modern times and that "...modern men, for all their proud ‘enlightenment’ and ‘wisdom,’ are becoming once more aware of such experiences—but no longer have the Christian framework with which to explain them" (p. 137). This conclusion perfectly reflects what I have said about alien abductions and how they should be understood and viewed by the Orthodox Christian."

Well the Lord decided not to tell us if He created life on other planets, or even if there really are other planets outside of our solar system. The fact that we have not physically viewed a planet leaves them as maybes

But let us assume there are other planets and life on other planets and they decide to visit us! I only need to ask 0ne question to know if they are true or evil. WHO IS LORD? If they do not answer Jesus (or its derivative) then they are evil!

Philippians 2:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father

Big leap from something unidentified to "aliens".

I believe in UFOs I do not believe in aliens.

That said, do aliens, if proven to exsist pose a threat to Christianity?

Depends on the individual.

There would undoubtly be many that would turn away from Jesus.. but "alien confirmation" is no more a threat to Christianity than the lusts in the hearts of man and the love of money. Even the idolatry of entertainment.

None of which in thenselves are evil, but the place in a persons heart can be if it is placed above God.

Alien confirmation would be no less and no more a distraction from the will of God than any of the other things that has attempted to pull people away from God since the beginning.

Would it be a threat to those that truly belong to Him?..... No.... it would just be a source of more confusion and delusion to those that don't.

Let's step outside the theological question for just a moment. Why in the universe would intelligent creatures want anything to do with us? We're still infatuated with the act of reproduction! Just saying.
