  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who gets cast into the everlasting lake of fire?

The Bible does tell us who will burn in the lake of fire. Those who do not repent and do not abide in Christ will burn in the lake of fire.

Dear BNR: I hate to disclose to you that repentance is granted, in short "given"/ didomi by Father!

NOT by the will of the flesh, NOR the will of man BUT of God.

Not quite, Devin.

The cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur/ theion.

This is the second death.

For me it sounds like a stretch beyond the text to suggest that Revelation 21:8 is exclusively talking to Christ rejecters alone. Paul says there are those who preach another Jesus and another gospel. Can another Jesus and another gospel save? Surely not.

Not by the will (desire) of the flesh (the will of our sinful nature)

Not by the will (desire) of man (the desire of another person)

But of God (who according to 1 Timothy 2:3-4 and 2 Peter 3:9 desires that all men come to repentance and be saved and that none should perish.

So then a believer cannot say the atheist who rejects God is not saved. So a believer in this instance could not judge. The believer could not even silently judge or think that others are not saved (Which is a form of judgment).

Not sure what you're saying, are you saying you judge atheists?

Right, God's Word decides who goes to the Lake of Fire. It says "all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire." (Revelation 21:8). It does not say "some liars will have their part in the Lake of Fire" and neither does John mention another group of liars that are going to enter God's kingdom.

So if I'm mentally disabled and therefore a liar, in your opinion do they go t the lake of fire? The reason I post this is because I help mentally disabled people. Should I be telling them they're headed for the lake fire?

Not= loti

Desires= epithumia

Willeth= thelema

God's epithumia is His desire/ craving/ longing

God's will is His thelema

Whose will prevails? Dust or Divinity?

“Millions choose evil; may they not always choose it? The reply is that this is the sinner’s will arrayed in battle against the Divine will. One must ultimately yield. I expect it will not be God. God will not coerce the sinner’s will by force. He faces it as a consuming fire, and the day comes when the sinner sinks down beaten and cries out: ‘God I yield.’ Terrible is God against sin, foolish the soul that contests against Him…the sinner is one who has courage to enter a contest of his will against God’s will. My orthodox friends tremble for God. I do not. I exhort them to 'have faith in God.” -P.T. Barnum-

Let's face the facts, you're not God. and then you don't decide who goes to the lake of fire or not. In that I agree.

Dear Devin: Every hour of every day of every week of every month of every year over 500 children under the age of five dies. I believe the Father of all fathers sees every common bird fall, not one of these wee children falls unnoticed. Regarding the mentally disabled>>>

The whole of created life SHALL BE delivered!

Yes they fell, and God will be the judge. And that is what we should take from the bible. Any thing else is evil.

Dear Devin: Our God is far more than our Judge, He is our Father, known in intimate terms as Abba, Father.

What's your point? God will be our judge and anyone else preaching different is wrong.

Did you notice the word used in 1 Timothy 2:4? Thélō G2309 is the verb form of thelema G2307. Of course I know your a universalist so you believe all will repent and be saved but for those of us who know better this is an indication that the word “will” in the Bible often means desire and not actually something that is made to be so.

Dear Devin: My point is our Father can be trusted. His essence is not Judge, He is Love, the Father out of whom all His attributes flow.

Dear BNR: The thelema of God our Father, whether in verb or adjective, is absolute. We little wills will ultimately bow to the Will of all wills!

“Millions choose evil; may they not always choose it? The reply is that this is the sinner’s will arrayed in battle against the Divine will. One must ultimately yield. I expect it will not be God. God will not coerce the sinner’s will by force. The epitheumia of His longing & craving & desire will also come to His complete satisfaction.

Every last digit!
