Trump implies whistleblower should be killed

At a private breakfast this morning Trump implied the whistleblower is a spy and then suggested what we used to do with spies....

Trump:

“I want to know who’s the person, who’s the person who gave the whistleblower the information? Because that’s close to a spy,” he continued. “You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? The spies and treason, we used to handle it a little differently than we do now.”

Prediction: in this thread we'll see a lot of people pretending this isn't a threat of murder.

Using the legal process outlined and provided for in the Constitution to remove a criminal president is not a coup d’etat. It is the system at work.

Today, the DNI testified he would protect the whistleblower. Now I know why the he was asked that question.

On what planet using what language? Removal of a US President from office is nearly impossible due to the rules.

However, the idea of violence in the streets centered on his status does hold a certain appeal for a narcissist of Trump’s level. Declaring martial law and locking up and/or executing his enemies also seems to be appealing to this President. Look at the world leaders he admires most.

The problem I have with his saying this is he is a very vindictive man. The whistleblower will not be safe, even if Trump leaves office.
