thank you for clearing it up.. You claim the Lord who came specifically to fulfill the Law men could not keep could not do so himself. So the Passover Lamb of God was blemished and therefore disqualified from being our Passover Lamb.

our Savior who cannot be Holy according to your claim because He could not, did not live a sinless life, fail at any part of the Law and fail at all the Law. Which parts of the Law did He not keep? I would be ashamed and at least embarrassed to make this claim before men and still claim to be a Christian. You, in mu opinion stand on very, very dangerous ground.. God bless.

To be holy refers to a state of being set apart from defilement. The Hebrew word translated “holy” comes from a term meaning “separate.” Thus, what is holy is separated from common use, or held sacred, especially by virtue of its being clean and pure. God is holy to the supreme degree.

The text states something different to your claim.

Colossians 2:14
Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

The law, the decrees, were hostile to us.

The law condemns and anyone trying to obey the law is simply saying that they, are guilty and should be condemned.

Attempting to obey the law does not make you a good person. Rather you should be even more aware of your opposition to God and the law. A deep seated hatred of God and everything that is wholesome and good.

That is not a very cool thing to say. I was being sincere when I asked for a source. What source? You claimed that being "dead to something" meant a teaching. So... where is your source? The bible doesn't make that claim, I figured you had an old Jewish reference where, to a Hebrew, that is what it meant. You don't, and since the bible doesn't make that claim, then being dead to something = teaching is your own personal belief. Just say so next time and can save some... time.

What was hostile to us?

How can the debt be hostile to us?

What is hostile to you is not "do not steal" or "do not lay with a man as you would a woman." What is hostile to you is death, and, eternal separation from God. This comes from a "guilty verdict" that thankfully, was nailed to the cross. That is what was nailed to the cross... our pronouncement of guilt, not God's instructions.
