I am told that when we become a Christian we can push the reset button and wipe the slate clean. We become born again we become a new creation in Christ. We can be forfilled, happy & content. Daily we are renewed so that life can not wear us down. We no longer live a life of quiet desperation.

If we have an end time, then that is followed by new beginning. Just when can we expect this to happen. As a people when do we become renewed, refreshed and restored
We're renewed as we come to God in faith, formally at Baptism as has been classically taught, but already before then in Spirit. That's the beginning of our renewal/justification. But we can and are to be justified still, renewed/sanctified as we continue in our walk with God to the extent that we remain in Him and He in us. It's an everyday choice, to remain subjugated to God, to remain "under grace", being transformed into His image as we work out our salvation with He who works in us. It's a process.

The reset button is in our spirit. It is our spirit that is renewed, refreshed and restored.

1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

However our minds need renewing, and our bodies remain the same. If you were fat when born again, you will still be fat. If you were ugly, you will still be ugly. This body is destined for the dust bin of the grave and will be renewed when the Lord returns.

The new heaven and the new earth is after the 1000 year reign of Christ. At that time we will receive a Glorified Body. We rule and reign with Christ for 1,000 years.

You asked for what the Bible says, and that is what I gave you in 2 Peter 3:10-13.

You have responded with what men say, which falls apart in the video below.

In 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 Paul said Christ returns "in flaming fire".

Peter said the same thing in the passage from 2 Peter.

The fire comes at the end of Revelation chapter 20.

Ok, so you think that the resurrection is at the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ when there is a new heaven and a new earth and we receive our glorified body. So you consider the resurrected body to be the same as the glorified body we will receive at that time.

......or, another belief is, that since the ancient Jews believed that the Temple was the place where God's domain (heaven) and humanity's domain (earth) intersected and came together - where the presence of God came to them......then a new heaven/new earth began the day the Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D.

Quoting Jay Guin:
The New Heavens and New Earth

In Surprised by Hope (very readable — and mandatory reading), Wright teaches (and I’m persuaded) that the afterlife will be a renewed, transformed planet earth called the New Heavens and New Earth (NHNE) in Isaiah 65 – 66 and in Revelation 21-22. “New” is a Greek word (kainos) having the sense of renewed or refreshed.

(Rev. 21:1-5 ESV) Then I saw a new [kainos = renewed, restored] heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” 5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new [kainos].” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

This teaching surprises many Bible class students because it’s so contrary to what we were taught growing up — and so contrary to the pop culture view of Christianity. But after reading Wright on the topic, I’ve discovered that countless major commentaries from many different traditions say the same thing, but it was just so foreign an idea that I’d overlooked the teaching.

The idea is most directly and simply addressed by Paul in Romans —

(Rom. 8:19-23 ESV) 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

Paul says that the Creation itself is to be freed from the corruption of the curse of Genesis 3 so that the Creation can “obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.” That doesn’t sound like the Creation is going to burn and be thrown away. In fact, God declared the Creation “very good,” and so the plan is to redeem it from the corruption of sin, not to toss into the fire. ~ N. T. Wright’s The Day the Revolution Began, Part 5 (Inheriting the Earth; the New Heavens and New Earth)

It is our spirit that is renewed, refreshed and restored.
This is the breath of life (neshamah) going back to Adam and Eve when God breathed life into them. This goes beyond the life (chay) God gives to the plants and the animals.

In the first verse of the Bible we are told that God Created the Heaven and the Earth. Jesus teaches us to pray that Thy Kingdom come Thy Will be done on Earth as in Heaven. They call this to run and return. God makes them two so that they can be united together and become one.

I don't believe that. The neshamah is not the ruach ha kodesh. When born again, we gain the ruach ha kodesh, not the neshamah.

.....and the joining of heaven and earth is the story of the Israelites. God made His presence known to them by traveling with them as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night (Exodus 13:21-22).

We don't become fully restored until Jesus returns and fully changes us and that will be our new beginning in eternity.

The "Jewish" people equate this to the new year celebration. You end the old and you begin the new. Yet many things are still the same as it was on the previous year.
The Jews need to realize the OLD ended back in 70ad..........and embrace the present New Covenant of Jesus........

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD
Proof that Matthew 24 was fully fulfilled in 70 AD!

The Temple now presented little more than a heap of ruins; and the Roman army as in triumph on the event, came and reared their ensigns against a fragment of the eastern gate, and, with sacrifices of thanksgiving, proclaimed the imperial majesty of Titus, with every possible demonstration of joy.

Thus terminated the glory and existence of this sacred and venerable Edifice, which from its stupendous size, its massy solidity, and astonishing strength, seemed formed to resist the most violent operations of human force, and to stand, like the pyramids, amid the shocks of successive ages, until the final dissolution of the globe.

Thus awfully complete an ever, beyond example, were the calamities which befel the Jewish nation, and especially the city of Jerusalem. With what truth, then, did our LORD declare, that there should "be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world, no, nor ever shall be !" (Matt. xxiv. 21.) Such was the prediction : the language in which Josephus declares its fulfillment is an exact counterpart to it : "If the misfortunes," says he, " of all nations, from the beginning of the world, were compared with those which befel the Jews, they would appear far less in comparison ;" and again, "No other city ever suffered such thing's, as no other generation , from the beginning of the world, was ever more fruitful in wickedness." These were, indeed, "the days of vengeance," that all things which are written (especially by Moses, Joel, and Daniel,) might be fulfilled." Luke xxi. 22.

When you receive His Holy Spirit. This is how our relationship with the Father is restored. Adam and Eve walked in the Holy Spirit. They walked with God. They lost that connection through sin. Jesus Christ of Nazareth died for our sins. The Father sent His Holy Spirit back to the believer and sin was conquered. Our relationship was restored. The Holy Spirit is our connection. The reset button is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Walk in the Spirit so you do not fall in sin with your flesh. You have been restored now you have to stay on the narrow road. The second death has no power over you unless you fall away.
Blessings

Ok, so you think that the resurrection is at the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ when there is a new heaven and a new earth and we receive our glorified body. So you consider the resurrected body to be the same as the glorified body we will receive at that time.

2Ti 4:1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:

The following will take some time to take in, but it will help you understand how to make Paul's words above agree with Revelation chapter 20.

We don't know when all of that new beginning is going to come to us. Jesus said we would have trouble (John 16:33). But it will come. Either we're going to die, or we're going to see him come back. Anything as far as Earthly comforts we get prior to that can be considered a bonus.

When you pray to be filled with Christ believe you receive for we are told how to pray, to believe you have the petition which you ask for. Christ said over and over it is done unto you according to your faith, as you believe. God speaks and it is done. With God/Christ in us we too must speak and believe. Christ could do no mighty works in his hometown because they said, is this not the carpenter's son? Paraphrased. And he marveled at their unbelief. He said the word is like a seed you must plant it within yourself believing it will become what you desire. We are living in a righteous system where it is done unto you as you believe. You do not just wait for it to happen but are an active participant acting in faith! Glory to God it really is quite marvelous.
