To hear some folks talk, one would think that I am committing a terrible sin by not believing that hell lasts forever.
Your "goodness" or "badness" comes from your standing in Jesus. He says that we are all lost until we make peace with Him.Am I a bad person because I don't believe in eternal hell?
(prefer not to think of a real place such as the lake of fire as a concept)Theological concepts like Hell or the Lake of Fire only become clear after we have gotten to know Him for a while.
Potentially a lot of Hebrew and Greek scholars also, both saved and unsaved. There's a whole board of Christians who think hell won't last forever

Multitudes will become clear about that who never got to know Him at all. Heaven forbid any reader here ends up there, but that's where multitudes go because they don't know Him and never get to know Him, so they learn first hand in the lake of fire, and never escape !
Yahuweh is not subject to the clay pot He shapes, especially if it is one opposed to Him.So you are saying that the millions (billions?) who never heard of the Gospel or who lived in pagan lands long before Christ even appeared are doomed simply because they didn't hear the Good News?
Well.............that sure sounds fair!!
We're just bad because we're HUMAN, Light...
There's a whole board of Christians who think hell won't last forever, I think it's TENTMAKER.ORG
Literal Greek is "unto ages of ages", not "forever and ever", but it's a minority position here at C.F.
Yahuweh is not subject to the clay pot He shapes, especially if it is one opposed to Him.

You Neither Know the Scriptures nor the Power of God! The Pharisees and the Sadducees were the intellectuals of their time. They were the professional theologians that thought of themselves as the custodians of the true doctrine of the word of God.
The Bible says clearly that ALL MANKIND is subjected to sin, i.e. bad. i.e. yes just because of being human. We are bad just because we are human?
Opposing God is sinful, sinful that is not love.I know God is love.
Apparently that concept evades you.
If I am told God is love, am I wrong to expect that He will act in love?
Kindly tell me how burning someone forever is love.
The Bible says clearly that ALL MANKIND is subjected to sin, i.e. bad. i.e. yes just because of being human.
The love that is perfect is NOT an emotion, nor a feeling, but a CHOICE OF THE WILL, AND OBEDIENCE FAITHFULLY TO YAHUWEH.I know God is love.

God is perfectly righteous, with no sin in Him, and He does not permit sin in His Presence .
So those who reject His Word are not in His Presence.
Perfect Love (Perfect Obedience and Righteousness and Justice), requires and is also PERFECT IN JUDGMENT . (Yahuweh's Judgment is Perfect)
Man's judgment, obviously , is sinful and wrong.
The love that is perfect is NOT an emotion, nor a feeling, but a CHOICE OF THE WILL, AND OBEDIENCE FAITHFULLY TO YAHUWEH.
"Open Rebuke" is BETTER than hidden love (that might let a dead in their sins sinner continue dead in their sins. )
You Neither Know the Scriptures nor the Power of God! - Lay ...Well, apparently you have a different Bible and a different understanding than I have. I reject the Augustinian view of mankind which you are espousing. So does the Bible. The Bible speaks in many places of people who are righteous. Here's just one example:
ooops...... the content of your previous posts rejected His Word, and Christ.Okay. No problem.
I'm not rejecting His Word.
BTW - what is the Word?
HINT: Christ
