You already are unable to prove your point. 2020 has no bearing on this. Trump is a racist and made a very racist comment. You're incapable of defending it so you dodge it by deferring to "2020".

I'll bet you three goats and a chicken.
2020 will definitely be interesting. It's shaping up to be the last battle in the culture war.

Seeing people defend Trump’s racist remarks is hilarious. They spend all their time avoiding what he said or attempt to use hypotheticals that didn’t happen. “If the president said some cucumbers taste better pickled, would you call him a racist?” The president said nothing about pickles, your point is moot. However, we know the president made racist statements about four women of color.

You have got to be kidding! If nothing else, Donald Trump is an equal opportunity insulter. He would even insult a green person if one spoke against America.
Not agreeing with the current government is not speaking against America. Please abandon this garbage rhetoric, it should be beneath you. The president spent 2016 talking about how horrible America was, did you attack him for “speaking against America”? This type of rhetoric is ridiculous and needs to stop. All Americans, liberal and conservative, love America and want the best for the country and its residents; they may disagree on how to get there, but this utter garbage saying people are speaking against the country needs to stop. It’s an immature attitude.

It doesn't explain how or why his tweets were "racist" though. I could condemn someone as being a pedophile, but don't I need to explain why I think he/she is one?

‘Get back to where you came from’ has been a typical racist trope for decades. It’s hardly a phrase you can use without that link being made.

Different era, different targets, same mentality:

‘Italians then and the Irish before them were seen as undesirable and unwelcome. They were blamed for ruining the fabric of the United States and, often, told to go back home to the places from which they had come.’

Would people be whimpering if he had said the same thing to a Russian, a Frenchman, and a couple Scandinavians? You know they wouldn't be. He didn't refer to their ethnicities, at all, but rather their anti-American ideological beliefs.

Trump chose the people he chose for a reason, and that is because he is a racist.

He's been properly fond of Scandinavian people for a while now. He wants more of them to immigrate from Norway and fewer from countries he called an expletive.
He didn't "choose" them. They were the ones spouting off. They chose to do it; he responded (childishly, but it wasn't racial in intent).

True.
Two women are Muslim, one is Latino, one is black.
Two have spoken out against Israel.
At least one has been called a socialist.
Now they are all being called unpatriotic.

There is something there for every one of Trump supporters to latch onto from white supermists to Evangelical Christians.
Trump is campaigning and he hit the jackpot with this group.

It's entirely racial. He used a very old racist put-down against 4 minority-class women. I would say that despite their being women, it wasn't sexist, but it did hit upon their races. He never said or says the same thing about white people. Completely racist. But then again, his supporters make excuses for everything about him, to the point where self-proclaimed Evangelical Christians excuse his anti-Christian stance that he doesn't need forgiveness from the Lord (i.e. the central tenet of all Christianity that all orthodox denominations agree upon) yet calls himself a Christian. So, anything's possible, even the absurd, when it comes to Trump's supporters defending him.

The more I think about it, though I of course could be wrong, so just a theory then, but maybe it was a setup from the get go, and that Trump took the bait. They already had a pretty good idea how he might respond, and that no matter how he might respond, twist into something racially motivated, regardless. IOW he could have responded in a number of ways. Then simply twist that into something racially motivated no matter how he responded. One thing that they knew they could count on was that Trump was going to respond in some manner or another, and that that was 100% already in the bag.

House votes to condemn Trump for 'racist comments'

The House on voted to formally admonish Donald, approving a resolution condemning as “racist” his tweets targeting four minority congresswomen.

Praise the good Lord!

Actually Trump is playing this quite cleverly. The 4 congress women his racist slur focused on are the unacceptable extreme of the Democrat party to most Americans. If the Democrats try and build a campaign around them they will be rejected by the voters at the next election.

Also Somalia is a broken, corrupt backwater of a country by just about any sane criteria. Saying an American citizen from a refugee background should return to fix the place before moralizing to Americans is however not reasonable as American citizenship brings with it the political freedom to criticize the president and his policies.

Praise the good Lord!
The LORD appointed the president to clean up the swamp, expose all the evil, wicked schemes.
ROMANS 13:1 & 2 confirms this and for all who oppose and resist his authority, there is a message for you as well.

So then why isn't he doing any of that?

This is kind of like when a pedophile is busted in a sting operation and someone says "well, the cops probably already had a pretty good idea how he might respond, and that no matter how he might respond, twist into something sexually motivated, regardless. IOW he could have responded in a number of ways. Then simply twist that into something sexually motivated no matter how he responded. One thing that they knew they could count on was that he was going to respond in some manner or another, and that that was 100% already in the bag."

Bottom line, if you're a pedophile making a sexual move on a minor, even if it's a sting, you've been busted as a pedophile. Same goes for a racist like Trump, regardless of whether the people he attacked 'set him up' or not.

But it's common for people to defend racists, pedophiles, etc. with the old "well poor guy was set up" defense. Pretty bad.

But I don't like Trump to begin with, yet a major pet peeve of mine is when someone is falsely accusing someone of something they did not do. And that's exactly what they are doing with Trump, falsely accusing him of being racist.

He attacked the ethnic heritage of the women. I don't like false accusations, either, but this one is pretty clearly legitimate.
