The GOP has already started lawsuits for the election that hasn't even happened yet. If you thought there were a lot of pointless election lawsuits after 2020, just wait until 2024. Some of Trump's strategy relies on bogging down election systems with responding to lawsuits.

If the motivation behind the initial change was to "combat racism" - then I would oppose the initial change - because that action does not actually combat racism.

The current "virtue signalling" is either pro-Confederate, or the apparent pro-Confederate "virtue signalling" is racist in nature. Neither should be seen as "good".
