Ever do something that you want to do.. no matter what..that is not what God would want you to.... yell, insult someone, get angry without justification, laugh at someone else's expense, say you can't help someone when you could have, get jealous, not be sympathetic, have a selfish moment even?Okay. From my point of view, if I love God, and am loving God, I what I want to do is to do what He wants. So, I love God and do what I want (which is what He wants).
I never stop loving God.. I never stop loving my wife, my kids and my parents, my very close friends... but still do things that offend them, insult them, hurt them...When you sin, though, you aren’t loving God.
When you commit a sin Christ died for, how is that loving Him?I never stop loving God.. I never stop loving my wife, my kids and my parents, my very close friends... but still do things that offend them, insult them, hurt them...
See where I'm going?
My love does not turn off and on... It is always there. Sometimes, my self over rides my love.
That's doing anything I want.... bad idea.
I think it’s possible. I think we all do it every day. But when we choose to sin, we aren’t loving God at that moment.
When you sin, though, you aren’t loving God.
I don’t know about that.I am glad to hear that. But I think we are miles a part when it comes to righteous living according to the Bible (Which first begins with the right kind of understanding in the mind on how sin and salvation works).
I think it’s possible.
You said:I think we all do it every day.
You said:But when we choose to sin, we aren’t loving God at that moment.

Sure, there were days I have stumbled on occasion, but I confess of such a thing to the Lord, and always seek to crucify the affections and lusts. Have I battled with a particular sin before? Yes. But I know that is such a struggle does not last.
I’m glad we agree. Though you should be honest with yourself and call it sin.
Again, what happens first? Loving God, or repenting and seeking forgiveness?
So they happen hand in hand (and over some time) (and in stages sometimes) as one is learning to love God more and is growing in that...?Repenting or seeking forgiveness = Loving God.
The are synonymous.
Romans 13 and the golden rule seem to indicate love as a seed idea for the rest of the teachings, so if you live loving, fruit should follow. If not, self examine.Love God and do what you want. Or variations thereof. It’s a quote attributed to Augustine. (We don’t need links to the original. I only want to discuss the phrase.)
True? False?
Let the discussion commence.

Committing a sin in no way means that I stop loving..When you commit a sin Christ died for, how is that loving Him?
Yeah saying love is a license to sin, is like what the opponents of Paul used to say.I still stand on my view that this is a solid "False". We are flesh and even though we love God... should never be given the freedom to "do whatever you want".
You tend to try to minimize sin, though. It’s not “oops”. It’s cosmic treason.I know what it is called. But when God forgives us when we confess, it is no more. He has removed them as far from us as the east is from the west.
No they aren’t.Repenting or seeking forgiveness = Loving God.
