Well that went right over my head. I asked why you do not see that the law of righteousness and the law of sin and death are not referring to the same thing?
You presume they are and have not even considered The Truth of what others here have shared.

Imputing sin where there is none comes from a spirit that is not Of The Holy One.

Do you understand?

Would you like to hear a story about the horse, donkey, and camels burden of flesh?

When he was arrested, Paul self identified as (present tense) being a Pharisee.

Yes, in knowledge he certainly was. But even that knowledge couldn't make him righteous. That was him in his old life under the law in Romans 7. But that was before Christ. If you believe trying to obey the law is enough, it isn't. You must be born again of the Spirit of God.

Oh,
Then where should a Pharisee raised in the spirit of knowledge(milk) find understanding(honey) unless a person ask for strength in forgiveness.

That knowledge?

Hmph.

Knowledge of the laws of God is what I was talking about, and all that the person of Romans 7 knows.

Refering to him when he was lost as a Pharisee under the law

Acts 26:5. Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.”

Philippians 3:5. Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;”

Not so. Note the PRESENT TENSE:

Acts 23:6
But perceiving that one group were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, Paul began crying out in the Council, “Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am on trial for the hope and resurrection of the dead!”

Not past tense. Also note what occurred a few days earlier:

Paul was being accused of telling Believing Jews to stop obeying Moses. James knew that was not true so he gave Paul an opportunity to demonstrate otherwise:

Acts 21:24
take them and purify yourself along with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads; and all will know that there is nothing to the things which they have been told about you, but that you yourself also walk orderly, keeping the Law.

The difference is trying to keep the law with a carnal nature, or with a new nature filled with the Spirit.

Not quite, Paul became a Jew as under the law to them under the law. Also Paul perceived the sadducees snd Pharisees there and used his past to bring out more discussion and acceptance among some.

And the Jewish believers were still struggling to come out of the law they were in the time of reformation as the old covenant was slowly fading away ready to vanish and decay. As scripture shows in all these areas,

And I showed two verses where Paul speaks of his past asa Pharisee in unbelief. He could still appeal to his knowledge and things he did as a Pharisee in somewhat as he did in Acts 23 that was for a different reason and wisdom when he said that. And some Pharisees even believed in Jesus.

1 Corinthians 9:20. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;”

Hebrews 9:10. Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.”

Hebrews 8:13. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”

And Jesus said to the apostles that he had many things to say and to judge of them but they were not able to handle it yet until the Holy Spirit would guide them into all truth. This took time.

Paul remained a Pharisee even as a New Covenant Jew.
BTW - so did James. Some records indicate that James actually led one of the main training schools for Pharisees (probably Beit Shammai) and was killed by some of his students for not renouncing his Brother.

Of course. Difficult to live a proper life style in prison.
