  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please explain if no one is predestined

I should inform you..............I was 'saved' out of the calvin/reformed theology. So yeah, I know.

It's amazing to hear and watch people say, "Don't assume what another group says."........When I was in the 'group' for years.arghh!

That does NOT make you a mind reader OR an expert on Reformed theology OR Calvinism.

And I disagree that every sinner has faith. That isn't biblical and dead faith is not a gift of God.

A person who once was a Calvinist does know what they believe. Having one's eyes opened and leaving Calvinism doesn't reduce their expertise on the subject.

Faith as a noun is simply what is believed. Such as the Christian faith or the Muslim faith.

The action (verb) of believing something is available to everyone, since God gave mankind an intellect and conscience, with which to make decisions about what to believe.

Some seek the truth and others don't. It's that simple.

The Bible does not teach that God causes anyone to believe.

In fact, regeneration follows faith, as the Bible teaches in Ephesians 2.
