Desperation.
Desperation?? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! Wow! ^_^

"We are desperate to get him on SOMETHING. ANYTHING! Since the Mueller report didn't find any collusion, conspiracy or coordination with Russia in the 2016 elections, (which the Clintons seemed to have done. But that's a story which deserves it's own thread.), let's move the goal posts and start talking about "obstruction". And if that doesn't work, (towards de-legitimizing a duly and lawfully elected president that we absolutely hate ... because the TV told us so), then let's go after the AG for refusing to break the law. And if that doesn't work ......

Amazing.

Who are you quoting? It doesn't matter. That story is past its sell-by date. You may have sucked in some silly Democrats with the narrative that the Mueller investigation was all about "getting Trump"(serves them right) but it was concocted by the Right to divert attention from the fact that Russia tried to interfere with our election. People who are paying attention know better than to be fooled by it. You're welcome to Hillary. Go for it.

Again, you're conflating Russian interference, (something Obama knew about, but did nothing, because he thought it would work in Clinton's favor), with collusion with that interference by the Trump campaign.

Stop blurring lines and obfuscating.

No, I'm not conflating Russian interference--which Trump still denies--with "collusion" despite the Right's best efforts to sow that confusion.

Nonsense.

No one sensible on planet earth would think Russians would favor Clinton. Republican Mitch McConnell is "perfectly comfortable" with what was done to warn election officials.

McConnell told reporters that he had no regrets about the volume of the warning that state election officials received about the threat of Russian interference in 2016.

"I’m perfectly comfortable with the steps that were taken back then," he said.

I disagree.

I wouldnt lump barr in with trump, even if he was appointed by him. Each situation goes on its own merits and whatbthe evidence shows.

In this case, the evidence is that he has misrepresented both the Mueller report and the type of investigations which have led to them. Plus lying about Mueller's take on the report. Sure seems to be consistent with the Trump playbook on the matter. And that doesn't ignore his long history of helping other R presidents cover up potential illegal activities.

Fool me once, dot dot dot.

Speaking of obfuscating - citation needed. What I've seen reported is that Obama didn't make a bigger deal out of it because McConnell blocked any bipartisan efforts to fight that. Which seems more reasonable, given how Trump has since taken Putin's side on the matter.

I happen to believe, evidence will likely show, some in the fbi, justice and maybe other intelligence entities, abused their powers.

Hey, i may be wrong, but it is my opinion based on the smoke that we all can see. Also, i have said for a long time, just because some of trumps crew screwed up, doesnt mean those investigating didnt also screw up.

Regarding "I wouldnt lump barr in with trump", I would say that you're not paying close enough attention then. Barr has strayed significantly from legal verbiage, and couched his language regarding the investigation in the precise language of Trump.

It's possible that those investigating Trump stepped over the line in places, but even from what was publicly visible, examining Trump's ties with Russia was absolutely called for.

Lets see how everything comes out in the end of all this and more evidence is revealed.

I agree in general.

Investigating the russia thing was necessary. The question is; how was the investigation initiated and how was it conducted? Did the folks we trust to hold others accountable to the law, follow it themselves?

The fbi has enough of a tainted past with violating peoples rights and agencies like the fbi, have been known to take on a life of their own and abuse the power they have. I dont believe a word that comes out of trumps mouth, but i feel similarly in regards to guys like; clapper, brennan and comey. Those guys, along with their coherts, can ruin people's lives, if they are left to their own devises and not held up to a high standard.

The stuff I mentioned in post 86.

I will wait to hear from mueller, on whether any significant misrepresentation took place.

One has to keep in mind, these are all lawyers and we all know, lawyers have varying opinions on legal theory and the significance of certain evidence.

I really want to hear mueller answer certain questions, that i have posted before.

Sorry, i need to hear mueller respond to certain questions, just like barr did.
He's already responded, though, several times. And Barr lied about those responses. I'm really not sure what else one might need to know to come to a conclusion.

I cant make it any clearer, i need to hear mueller face questions, just as barr did.

This is why at a trial, both sides get to question witnesses and present witnesses. It is the best method to get at what is most likely true.
