So evolution, like the first life form, appeared out of thin air. You are doing what every evolution paper I have ever read does:

Around the bush and down the rabbit hole. ;)
The first life form hardly appeared out of "thin air" and if you understood reproduction you would understand how variation occurs even in single celled life that reproduces asexually.

Once life exists variation will occur. Once variation occurs selection kicks in. And variation and selection are the two main driving forces of evolution.

Man, you REALLY need to actually learn what you think you're arguing against.

Your response reminds me of a humorous hunting video segment where one hunter said that he thought he heard a deer, and if it was a buck it would probably score at least 150.
Do you have a response that addresses the question I asked of you?

Sure. After you answer my questions.
Seems like a rather juvenile way of engaging in discourse, whereby you hold your responses hostage as if they are gold.

You answered my questions with non-answers. I'm waiting for real answers. To wit: How developed must an organism be before evolution is possible? And how does this development occur? And isn't this 'development' actually evolution without the means of evolution?

Details needed.
You've been provided with relevant details repeatedly over the years. Unless you open your mind there is little chance providing them again will do any good whatsoever. It's as if nothing that you have been told has remained with you for more than two seconds. If there was some sincerity evident in your request I would be more inclined to give it yet another try. You are probably not aiming for smug self complacency, but that is what is coming across.

Even the simplest explanation of evolution doesn't make any sense. Google these articles and see for yourself.

Cognitive dissonance can make it very hard to understand concepts.

Mechanisms: the processes of evolution

Evolution is the process by which modern organisms have descended from ancient ancestors. Evolution is responsible for both the remarkable similarities we see across all life and the amazing diversity of that life — but exactly how does it work?

We're about to learn "exactly" how it works (drumroll please).

Fundamental to the process is genetic variation upon which selective forces can act in order for evolution to occur. This section examines the mechanisms of evolution focusing on:

  • Descent and the genetic differences that are heritable and passed on to the next generation;

    Mutation, migration (gene flow), genetic drift, and natural selection as mechanisms of change;

    The importance of genetic variation;

    The random nature of genetic drift and the effects of a reduction in genetic variation;
  • How variation, differential reproduction, and heredity result in evolution by natural selection; and
According to my 'cognitive dissonance' evolution can only affect an already unbelievably complex organism. So how did it get so complex without evolution?

Doesn't evolution begin with 'variation'? How does an organism get to the point of 'variation'?
No. Evolution begins with first life. Life has to be self reproducing. Self reproducing is not perfect, therefore variation was "built in".

The problem with first life is the same as the problem of the first mammal. There is no hard line between mammals and their predecessors just as there is no hard line between life and non-life. How many traits must a cell have to be called "alive"?
