I think it's wishful thinking to believe racism against minorities will ever be truly gone in the United States. Racism against minorities and white supremacy of the WASP was deeply embedded in this country's own inception and the racism against minorities has continued throughout its entire history.

What? if you are concerned about minorities then please be clear. Are you accusing this generation of being racist? You should be sure whether thats true or not, because accusing whites of being racist wont help them want to help your cause, they will just become offended and close their ears to your words. It would be futile. Do you want conflict or help?

The black community needs to be patient. What they hope to gain in less than two centuries took the white community thousands of years to build. If not for western slavery their condition would be that of the present day African.

1. We are supposed to be building a community together, not basking in the superiority of a "white" community and admonishing the "black" community to catch up.

2. The implication that the "white" community is superior to the uncivilized Africans, and bringing Africans here in slavery improved their lot is really sad.

Many have a lot of catching up to do educationally and culturally.

I was referring to the descendants of slaves, who find themselves in a land of great opportunities and free from many of the hardships that persist in Africa (and other minority homelands).

Help, I hope. Take a look at OWG's posts, for instance. I don't conclude that he is a racist on the basis of his remarks here. But those remarks are similar to remarks made by actual racists and have much the same effect on people who read them as if he was an actual racist. Don't you think he should know that?

And yes, there are actual racists in this generation; I know some of them personally.

It is not necessary to "hate" in order to be a racist. Many racists are quite benignly disposed to persons of other races than their own.

Me too, some white racists are democrat. Did you know that? Ive also met racist minorities. So whats your point?Are you saying the white race has a higher percentage of bigots than minority races do?
