  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I got 16 seconds in and the first thing out of his mouth was a comment about "Mueller's witch hunt".

The guy is a pathetic, dishonest, ignorant joke. He had no political, professional, or academic experience with anything before launching his radio career. Why on earth should I listen to a guy whose success has never been measured by anything other than his ability to flap his gums and sell ads? He's a salesman, not an analyst. He knows nothing. He's never done anything worthwhile. He's a vapid waste of airspace tickling the ears of people comfortable not knowing any better.

So you got no facts to dispute his, and we go for personal attack? Right out of the leftist playbook. Well done!

I guess you've never read a comment section on a Conservative Facebook page.

The irony of these two sentences being right next to each other is delicious.

The allegation of a witch hunt is a lie.

Sorry, but it's not. They have gone after Trump despite no evidence that he committed any crimes in this Russian probe. They still have nothing. What crime has Trump committed?
The real question is, why is it so important to the Right to twist the Mueller investigation into a "witch hunt" to "get Trump" for "collusion?" What is really at stake for them? Yes, if the Mueller probe finds no collusion between Trump and the Russians it will be easier to dismiss Mueller's real findings as inconsequential. Is that the point?

The investigations are sorting out which of his deeds may be criminal as well as unethical.

I for one appreciate having intelligent civil servants follow their own conscience rather than the megalomaniacal whims of a 10 year old brat in a man's body.

Sorry, but it's not. They have gone after Trump despite no evidence that he committed any crimes in this Russian probe.

The special counsel was appointed to investigate Russian interference in the election as well as any crimes unearthed in the process of that investigation. Trump and his team were actively pursuing real estate deals in Moscow until well into 2016; his senior campaign management took meetings with lobbyists from the Russian government; and several people on his campaign and in the RNC had long-standing ties with powerful Russian interests. That's plenty of cause to investigate Trump and his team for complicity in Russia's interference.

They still have nothing.

That's demonstrably false. The investigation has secured guilty pleas of 7 different people and a jury conviction for Paul Manafort, and has 2 trials underway. And that's just the people who were in the US.

What crime has Trump committed?

Off the top of my head, there appear to be some pretty clear violations of campaign finance laws with respect to his payments to Stormy Daniels via Michael Cohen; and there's a lot of smoke regarding some of his other financial activities (as well as those of some of his family members). We still have yet to see Mueller's final report, so declaring that "they still have nothing" is, at best, grossly premature.

Oh come now! They've gone after him by investigating his ties to the Russians and the dirty dealings of his family and inner circle. Clearly they're just out to get him.

Yeah, Sean Hannity and Fox News. Pathetic. If Sean Hannity said the sky was blue, I would go check it out first before I believed him to tell the truth. It would be very foolish of us to believe that he and Fox News would be honest and unbiased in reporting anything to do with liberals and liberalism.

Same with all the other news networks and conservatives. This is what Trump fights against everyday. But now that Donna Brazille is going to be on Fox, maybe you'll watch now.

...and/or undermining the Constitution -- which the POTUS took an oath to defend.

Why would you think that? Do you imagine some are so weak willed that uf "one of theirs" is on the screen they'll watch?

I think so. The "Trump Right" is all about ideological loyalty and they can't imagine the rest of us being any other way.

Oh please. None of that shows criminality on Trump's part. Land deals? Really? That's all they got? So you can't try and work out land deals in foreign countries? And the 7 pleas? What are they for? None of it is for crimes Trump committed.

And all the Russian stuff? Of course they tried to interfere in the election. I bet they've been doing it for years! Still no evidence that Trump broke the law.

It's been a witch Hunt from the start and two years later they still got nothing but some people who lied to investigators and tax cheats.
