Ecc 3: 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

As proof that man does not understand time the bible offers a few instances where time as we know it usually, was altered. The battle where Joshua had the day extended, and the time the sun dial went backwards. ( 2 Kings 20, Josh 10) Science today cannot fathom how this happened.

Science looks at the distant universe, and thinks of it in terms of time that it thinks it understands. In reality they cannot possibly ever fathom the beginning from the end! Ha.

“ha”?

Why do you revel in the perceived ignorance of others?

Very odd.
Well, science has exalted it's tales from the crypt to the heavens. Nice to remember that they are actually blocked from any capacity to find the truth or know about the beginning or end. Unless of course you were of that religion, and found it difficult to admit ignorance.

Two choices, really:

1. The Bible is right and the sun stopped orbiting Earth. Flat Earth debunks this option from the get go.
2. The passage is not meant to be taken literally - several cultures have myths about the sun stopping, and the Bible is replete with other allegorical or poetic passages.

Haha?

People take many parts of scripture too literally. Just like Jesus spoke in parables, not all scripture can be read at face value or black and white!

It was also written at a time when man was not as knowledgeable as we are now. It had to be written in a way that the ancients could understand. But, even then, its not that straightforward

Haha?

Whatever happened in that day of battle doesn't affect how man can't fathom time..the beginning from the end.

That being said, in the future, man will not need the light of the sun according to the bible. We do not know what will orbit what then either. So, if the area around that battle site was transported into the future, the sun standing still as needed is no issue. If you have some reason to claim it wasn't then let's see the science or math or evidences? Ha. Hahaha.

I could offer one piece of physical evidence to support the idea that it was not some global phenomena. No other nation on earth seems to record this, that I am aware!

The better explanation is that the passage is not meant to be taken literally. Proposing that part of the Earth was transported into the future, then returned to the present is beyond ridiculous.

Not at all. The transfiguration is the same way some suggest. Your personal incredulity about God's power and ability to transcend time and space is without basis or merit. Your advice seems to be to reject what Scripture says rather than believe it.

Explain to us how it makes more sense that a part of the Earth was transported to the future rather than that the passage might be allegorical.

Because it didn't happen. You have a claim in an old text and no way to independently verify it. Thus the claim should be treated as a story, not a fact.

Are you talking specifically about the "lost day" when the sun stood still?
Not at all. Just people’s refusal to account for time dilation in an accelerating universe as one calculates backwards in time to when clocks and decay rates happened faster.
