So what is this city that sits on Seven Hills. That by Default must also be a religious system that has the Blood of Saints on its hands.
How about the corrupt murderous OC Mosaic Judean rulers in Judea/Jerusalem who were "in bed" with Rome [John 19:12-15 "no king but caesar!"].

The Temple was directly across from it where Jesus and the Disciples would have seen Herod's Temple and the fortress glistening in the distance [as did Titus].
Now notice where Titus and his elite 10th legion were headquartered....THE MOUNT OF OLIVES! Fascinating............
