I tried a quick search for <find home church>, first match was <simplechurchathome> website, the map showed two up north and a few around Minneapolis. That's one way, presumably you can contact churches nearest to you and get some sense of their character.

I hope you get some specific answers from home church attenders near you in the forum, but at least there's an alternative if that doesn't work out. May God direct your path and place you where He wants you in His Kingdom.

Hi Of The Kingdom, thanks for looking into it for me! I actually have been aware of the Simple Church at Home "movement" and it's a little too "branded" for me, if that makes sense? There are special terms and it has a name and such. I'm looking for some really independent fellowships! Thank you so much for your time and effort though!

You're welcome. I wanted to be sure you were aware that there are many 'church find' sites. You might still have to contact a lot of home church groups before finding what you're looking for, of course. Since no church of any 'flavor' will be ideal, it makes sense to find one or a few to share ideas with. Unfortunately (in my opinion at least) the most important properties of a church are usually not their stated doctrines, but an attitude and approach to service. Just finding any person willing to talk about their experiences and thoughts in an honest way may be difficult.

I wondered if you are familiar with Frank Viola's ideas? I don't know a lot about him, but in the past he was very home church oriented. Now it seems he does not stress the 'ideal' form for the ecclasia, but has general ideas about letting the Spirit have control of the way the Church is built. I fear he is a bit too money oriented, but I'd like to understand his views better.

Curious to know if there are any Home/Simple/Organic Churches/Fellowships in Minnesota or even the Midwest. Would like to connect and may even travel to visit. Thank you!

I think there are such assemblies in your area. You can learn about those Bible-only gatherings at the sound site: biblecounsel.net on the Internet, which speaks of what God intends for His testimony in the world. See what you think there, and one can ask questions about the ministry.
