Mosaic Law Did Not Enter The Promised Land
In the bible Moses was not allowed to enter the promised land. It is clear that Moses represents the mosaic law, and the Old Covenant, that binds the flesh to God's word. But when Jesus Christ, God become man, came into this world he instituted the New Covenant which did not include the flesh.
The New Covenant of Jesus Christ (Jeremiah 31: 31-34) does not include the flesh, only the heart and mind.
By God not allowing Moses into the promised land God is showing that the Mosaic Law cannot save a person nor will it be allowed to rule over those who find salvation in the saving grace of a belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ - God's only son - God become man.
Ritualistic religious practices are a foolish way of believing that we can earn forgiveness and salvation through the practices of the flesh. Only a belief in Jesus Christ will secure our salvation and forgiveness, nothing more is required.
Jesus Christ endured the wrath of God the Father upon his flesh for the sins of mankind. Jesus Christ was crucified under the Old Covenant so we can enter heaven under the New Covenant with a new body.
In fact, Holy Communion is a remembrance of Jesus Christ enduring the wrath of God on the cross under the Old Covenant in order to usher in the New Covenant of Jesus Christ who is God's only son - God become man.
Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and rest assured that you'll be included in life eternal with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit in heaven forever.
Practice God's Greatest Commandment - notice there is no mention of the body, i.e. our flesh. Our flesh is corrupt beyond repair.
Matthew 22:36-40 New International Version (NIV)
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
