What is the best "way" to, if possible, to work toward of follow in keeping the commandments...?

What does keeping the commandments mean to you...? What does it look like...?

And/if because if you do have a different view, then, "What is it, basically or IOW's...?"

Or some of you might think keeping the commandments is not the main point, and if so, could you explain that maybe...?

Or some of might think it/that is not the point at all, and if so, could you explain that maybe...? Or tell us what is the point then maybe...?

Is is possible to keep the commandments or not...? And, if not, should we pursue or work toward keeping them at all...? And then if so, or if that answer is yes, then, "how"...?

Comments...?

God Bless!

Since God touched my heart and changed it.

I do so because it is good for my health, and the right thing to do.

Sin is not just about rules, sin is bad for you even in this world.

To others its a list of rules along with a spirit of fear and terror of going to hell if they don't keep it.

To some its a way of good living for God.

I guess I am basically asking "What is the Way...?" Basically... In which and how we should walk...? What we should pursue to seek to achieve, ect...?

I would say "Walk in the Way", but what is "the Way"...?

God Bless!

Pray and ask God to cleanse you of any sin your struggling with, he will give victory.

Ask him how can you please him, he will show you. I am just a simple man.

A good way to bring joy to the soul is to help others, strangers around you. Buy food for the homeless and give them a free Bible and tell them the Good news about God's redemptive plan.

In the past for the long time I was focused on myself, and what I could do for myself. The moment you direct it to others it will bring a overflow of joy to you and God.

Here is a good verse in James, I like to reflect on.

26If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. 27Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

When you love God and Jesus with all your heart , and to do this you must reject this world and its sins, then you will keep all the commandments.

Like a child does, they dont care about anything other then there own parents, so they cling to them and listen to everything they say.

Ask Jesus to convert you.

And will that, or is that, or will that lead to, a fulfilling of the Law or keeping the commandments...?

Is that the "Way"...? To be and do the best you can to be others focused instead of self focused more...? Till you just "are"...?

What about Sin...? or what others might think is sin for you...?

God Bless!

Reject the world and it's sins in your own strength...? Or does that just happen when you Love Jesus with all your heart and pursue and focus on that...? (which will be a great Love for others also)...

Romans 2

".... show torah written on their hearts ...."

and are justified for DOING TORAH, not just hearing ....

also,

"follow Jesus"

not smoke and mirrors (all the world's folly)
Were trying to define what doing Torah is...? Showing Torah, ect...? What it is...? What it looks like...?

And if you say it looks like Jesus, then the question is still, what is that exactly...? or what does that look like in one of us exactly...?

God Bless!

The Word of God... the Bible. All of it... not just the New Testament.

When God brought Israel out of Egypt... he saved them by grace through faith... after their salvation he led them to a mountain to teach them how his called out people were to live... his Torah... his teachings, instructions, right rulings, judgments... often translated to 'law'... but this is how we are to live.

Jesus/Yeshua said:
John 14:15 "If you love me, keep my commandments.

When we fail he is merciful to forgive and we try again... and we will be blessed by trying our best to live by his teachings... not for salvation but because we love him.

Following in Jesus footsteps is the Way. He is our example in all things.

1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children

I trust in Him. I did try more at first but since I have stopped trying so hard and just be obedient as and where something happens it is easier.

For example, I used to look for opportunities to help so that I was serving others. But something has changed because although I can still look for ways to do that I stopped for a short while. However, I am finding that I just do it. Someone drops something, I pick it up. There isn't so much a thought of serving before I help. I just do.

Someone is a little mean. Instead of thinking I must do the Christian thing and be nice, I tend to see through the mean action and feel compassion. Last time I pointedly chose to love someone (in August) God blessed me so much through it. Time and time again after the few incidences of just being obedient.

That person has now told me she feels God drawing her to him and she wants to go to a church soon. She also gives me a lift twice a week from college to my bus stop. I did not do it for a reward in Heaven or on Earth but I am left with such awe at how even the little acts of obedience are not insignificant. He leads so well and you know, I will probably obey the call to love others even more closely now. Not for reward but because it is right.

My heart is forever changing one step at a time. One step according to His word seems to solidify it. I know this doesn't sound biblical, but it has been my experience over and over again.

That is very good, I was too drawn into Jesus from my friends who showed me how God worked in their lives. I am grateful for them every day, I don't know if I would of found Jesus without them.

The fruit will help bring people in. God bless.

While I do like that a lot, I still have, and for some reason feel like I am still left with some of the same kinds of questions though...? Just being honest...

Another aspect of this is, "If we all have to be or become "exactly like Jesus" to be one of His, following in His ways, ect, or to be saved, ect, if we have to be or becomes "exactly like Him" and "measure up" to Him in any extensive or highly detailed way, somehow, I think we all fail, period...

And that I think presents some problems with this we are discussing, or the Way... or if your truly following in the way, ect... or your questioning it for yourself, ect... Do, or if we do have to become "exactly like Him", ect...? and the same as Him in every way and in no way any different, ect... Or are we supposed to be different in some ways...?

Those differences and defining those differences ect, saying what does "He in us" and the Way, the Way "looks in us", if there are differences, ect, can present some problems sometimes I think...? Can lead to some of the things I am asking...? Confusion sometimes...?

God Bless!

What He did none of could have done, nor ever can or could do, ect... Part of what makes Him God... Oh my God what He did! I don't know if too many of you really understand that like you should basically...

Anyway, So, How can we be exactly like Him or have to be exactly like Him to follow Him or be following in His ways, ect...? Since we all fail miserably most of the time...?

Can't be exact if you ask me, but like or alike "in a way" maybe...? So what is that "way"...?

God Bless!
