so what? they are only silimar parts. not identical. it means that they are not the same. and therefore required more mutations to make them fit.

This means that the vast majority of the components needed to make a flagellum might already have been present in bacteria before this structure appeared.

actually many of these proteins are in different species of bacteria (as far as i aware). also note that he use the word "might". and even if it was true. what is the chance to mix about 10-20 different proteins to evolve a flagellum from non flagellum?

Im not unnecessarily dragging things out, i want a discussion with you and i want your participation. Dont forget you joined this challenge i posed to kylie.

This challenge is called 'kylies super fun logic challenge', it was posed to test her logic with a statement i made (.eg you can have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ). I asked her how she thought about that statement in a logical way.

So what did you think about my last post ie the definition of facts. For us to continue we need to agree on definition to be on the same page?

Also the other section was unanswered. Come on, induge me dh, what have you got to lose by playing?

It depends on what kind of creature it is and what we know of the evolutionary history of that kind of creature.

For example, if we were talking about dolphins, there's no way you could find a fossil dolphin that lived 50 million years ago, since that was before Ambulocetus, and dolphins are a descendant of Ambulocetus. Dolphins must come AFTER ambulocetus, in just the same way you could not have been born before your mother. So, if there was a 50 million year old dolphin, then evolution could not explain it.

However, if we are dealing with a group that has been relatively unchanged for a long time, such as crocodiles, then it's more plausible that modern crocodiles could be found earlier than the earliest known fossils.

Yeah, this thing how small mutations can build up and cause changes? It's called EVOLUTION.

Seriously, your argument seems to be, "You can't have things evolving, because that requires evolution, and since there's no evolution, things can't evolve." It's a terrible argument and only serves to once again show beyond any doubt that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Okay, I looked it up. Here are the requirements for a recently posted job similar to mine as a scientist, from my employer:

• A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Biological Sciences or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience post graduation
• Must be proficient in working in the Unix environment. Solid coding proficiency in some combination of Python, Perl, Scala, Java, C/C++ and R.
• Experience with cluster computing and parallelization preferred
• Familiarity with DNA next-generation sequencing data
• Comfort and experience with programming for biological data analysis
• Understanding of bacterial genetics preferred
• Experience with metagenomic data analysis preferred
