Where in Romans 14 is it talking about holy days and the Sabbath? You are trying to read into the scriptures something it is not talking about.

Romans 14:5 is not speaking of Holy days. It is talking about days that men esteems. Not what days God esteem. Your trying to read into the scriptures something that it is not saying. There is no reference to God's 4th commandment in all the book of Romans.

If you disagree please respond to the second half of post # 86 linked that shows in detail why your interpretation of Romans 14:5 is not biblical.
Please answer my question about your esteeming a day. Thanks.

No problem already did perhaps you missed it. Your trying to make a case that Romans 14 is talking about the Sabbath when the Sabbath is not even mentioned neither holy days in the whole book of Romans. If Romans 14 is not talking about the Sabbath why pretend that it is?

Not really brother you trying to make a case that Romans 14 is talking about the Sabbath when the Sabbath is not even mentioned neither holy days in the whole book of Romans. If Romans 14 is not talking about the Sabbath why pretend that it is?
Please respond to my question.

I'm not pretending about anything.

Why are you refusing to answer as to whether you esteem any day or not?

The 4th Commandment of God, is not the "Jewish sabbath", but rather it is the "seventh day the sabbath of the LORD thy God" (Exodus 20:10; I have scripture, what do you present for your "Jewish Sabbaths" comment?). His rest.

Moses wasn't a Jew, he was Hebrew of the tribe of Levi of the descendants of Abraham of ... Eber.

The Sabbath was made (at Creation) for the man (Adam, and thus all in him, 1st and 2nd/last).
Who was the sabbath given to and why? (hint Ex 31:13, 17)

As stated elsewhere, the Ten Commandments are indeed called a "covenant", but never the 'old' covenant. People are reading into the text "10C" everytime the word "covenant" appears around Sinai, but that is incorrect. The Ten Commandments are called God's "my covenant" and "His (God's) covenant".

In Exodus 19 there are two covenants.

[1] Exodus 19:5, "my covenant" (Ten Commandments, the eternal/everlasting covenant of God)

[2] Exodus 19:8, "All that the LORD hath spoken we will do.", which is the promises of the people (3 days earlier), through the elders/leaders, and through the mediator Moses to God, in response to God's "if" and "then" condition. This is the 'old' covenant (they agreed/promised to the conditions set by God) which failed because the people broke their promises. They did not do.
What covenant was given to Israel by God? It has to have contents. Please quote some of them for us.

Both of your verses are about the same covenant. God spoke the famous 10 to Israel.

Who was the sabbath given to and why? (hint Ex 31:13, 17)

MARK 2:27 27, And he said to them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath

Mankind as a memorial of creation.

EXODUS 20:8-11
[8], Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
[9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
[10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
[11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

Hope this helps

What covenant was given to Israel by God? It has to have contents. Please quote some of them for us.

Both of your verses are about the same covenant. God spoke the famous 10 to Israel.

Brother your mixing up God's eternal law with the Shadow laws from the Mosaic book of the Covenant. Let's look at some of the scriptures..

The OLD COVENANT was made up of God's 10 Commandments *DEUTERONOMY 4:13 and the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7. God's 10 Commandments were spoken *EXODUS 20:1-19 and written by GOD alone *EXODUS 32:16 and the book of the Covenant was written *DEUTERONOMY 31:24 and spoken by MOSES *EXODUS 24:4-7 alone (under God's guidence).

TOGETHER both God's eternal law (10 commadments) written on stone and the MOSAIC BOOK of the Covenant are the OLD COVENANT. They were both SEPARATED and housed in the ARK OF THE COVENANT. God's LAW was placed inside the ARK of the COVENANT *DEUTERONOMY 10:5 while the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT was placed in the side of the ARK of the COVENANT *DEUTERONOMY 31:26

DEUTERONOMY 10:5 [5] And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.

Yep there is the 10 Commandments housed in the ARK of the COVENANT.

DEUTERONOMY 31:26 [26] Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.

EXODUS 24:7 [7] And he took the BOOK OF THE COVENANT, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD has said will we do, and be obedient.

So in summary here it is both the God's eternal law (10 Commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of sin and the shadow laws from the MOSIAC BOOK of the Covenant that made up the OLD COVENANT.

The NEW COVENANT is not like the OLD COVENANT. We no longer do animal sacrifices and the shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 that pointed to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW are fulfilled in Christ and his mimistration as our great sacrifice and high Priest who ministers on our behalf in the Heavenly Sanctuary made without hande.

You mix up the shadow laws from that MOSAIC book of the covenant *EXODUS 24:7 brother with God's eternal law that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172 that show us we are all sinners and lead us to Christ that we might be forgiven by faith *GALATIANS 3:22-25 to be free from our sins to walk in his Spirit *GALATIANS 5:16.

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4) Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

The NEW COVENANT is not the same as the OLD COVENANT *HEBREWS 8:10-12, we no longer need to follow the Shadow LAWS from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT that all pointed to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

God's ISRAEL in the NEW COVENANT are all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD. If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL you have no part in the new covenant *HEBREWS 8:10-12. Gentiles are now grafted in *ROMANS 11:13-27.

The above was posted earlier. Seems you ignored it or missed it.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

No one, and especially not I, ever said there was a "sixth day sabbath" found in the Exodus 20:8-11. What I said was, that the commandment (Exodus 20:8-11) concerns the whole week (work/rest).

This is correct. Thus, it was made for Adam the first (and all mankind in him) and for Jesus, the 2nd/last Adam (and all in Him). Wasn't it? He is the LORD of the Sabbath.

It was for the service/ministry of man, not for his slavery. That is why it is "rest".

Thus is it eternally the memorial of the perfect creation.

Indeed, "man" (Adam, thus even the "stranger") and "beast".

Not from 'hard labour', but rest from common labour done on the other days of the week. Holy labor of love (charity, KJB, 1 Cor. 13) ministry, is always in harmony with the commandment (Exodus 20:8-11). Jesus said, Joh_5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

Truly. Mark 2:27-28.

The commandment is love, as it is central to the character of God, who is love. This is always required. A man does not love God in spirit and in truth (heart and deed) unless they obey God in what He commands.

You just erred and fulfilled Peter's concerns (as by the Holy Ghost), in

2Pe_3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

The wages of sin is death/destruction. Sin is the transgression of the Law (1 John 3:4; Exodus 20:1-17; Romans 7:7). Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, sin:

1Jn_3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Paul himself wrote:

Php 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
They're enemies because they promote something besides Jesus for salvation.

Actually it does maybe you missed it...

ROMANS 11:17, And if some of the branches be broken off [ISRAEL], and you [GENTILES], being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree.

Who were the branches that were broken off?

[18], Boast not against the branches. But if you boast, you bore not the root, but the root you. [19], You will say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. [20], Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not high minded, but fear: [21], For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not you.

[23], And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
[24], For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Who are the natural branches brother that were broken off because of their UNBELIEF in God's WORD that can be grafted back in through BELIEVING God's WORD?

[25], For I would not, brothers, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

ROMANS 11 is talking about being grafted into CHRIST the ROOT. GOD'S ISRAEL ARE the BRANCHES. SOME where broken off because of their UNBELIEF.
I missed nothing. The Root is Jesus , that both Jew and Gentile is graft into.

Your only repeating yourself now brother to something that has already been answered for you in the previous post to you.
This is repeated because you haven't answered it. Yes you quoted my post and wrote anything but the requested response. It's you that's making the repeating necessary.

Yep you did. I already posted that the root is JESUS. You ignored the rest of the post showing that some of the branches that were broken off where UNBELIEVING ISRAEL. The rest of the branches are BELIEVING ISRAEL. Gentiles are grafted into the sams rootstock JESUS who BELIEVING ISRAEL are.

Well that one has no truth in it. If you cannot respond to the posts and scriptures that disagree with you brother please just say so.

As posted earlier...

Romans 14:5 is not speaking of Holy days. It is talking about days that men esteem. Not what days God esteems. Your trying to read into the scriptures something that it is not saying. There is no reference to God's 4th commandment in all the book of Romans.

If you disagree please respond to the second half of post # 86 linked that shows in detail why your interpretation of Romans 14:5 is not biblical.

I do not eteem days that men esteem. I esteem the days God's WORD esteems. *EXODUS 20:8-11
I take this to mean you esteem the 7th day. Correct? It doesn't matter about others. Do you call the day of Exodus 20:8-11, holy?

Nope. Is ROMANS 14:5 talking about days that men esteem or days that God esteems? There is no reference to God's 4th Commandment in all the book of Romans.

Where is the scripture that says God's 4th Commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

Here you answered the question by misapplying Mark 2:27-28. Jesus is talking to Jews, calling them men. Jesus isn't speaking to the world. Moses says the sabbath was given to who? and why? Is this error, or don't you believe Moses?

Sorry brother there is no missapplying anything unless you think Jesus is mistaken? I just quoted JESUS. They are his words not mine.

MARK 2:27 27, And he said to them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath

Jesus says that the Sabbath was made for Mankind. It is a memorial of creation. Moses was not a Jew was he? Either were Adam and Eve. The Sabbath was made well before any JEWS were made.

EXODUS 20:8-11
[8], Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)

Brother your mixing up God's eternal law with the Shadow laws from the Mosaic book of the Covenant. Let's look at some of the scriptures..
No sir, I'm not. You're mixing laws together. The famous 10 came into being after Egypt and only for Israel.
And this was done for who according to Moses' words of Deut 5?
TOGETHER both God's eternal law (10 commadments) written on stone and the MOSAIC BOOK of the Covenant are the OLD COVENANT. They were both SEPARATED and housed in the ARK OF THE COVENANT. God's LAW was placed inside the ARK of the COVENANT *DEUTERONOMY 10:5 while the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT was placed in the side of the ARK of the COVENANT *DEUTERONOMY 31:26
Produce the stone tablets or admit you only know about them because of the words of the Book of the Covenant. Then I want you to prove the rest of the Book of the Covenant is the doing of Moses and not God.
DEUTERONOMY 10:5 [5] And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.

Yep there is the 10 Commandments housed in the ARK of the COVENANT.
You can't produce either.

Eternal? Why does Jeremiah say something else will replace it?

Again, no sir. The law was given for a period of time.

Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

What commands are Christians to keep? Jesus said His, not His Father's which Jesus kept. We know that Jesus kept the law (famous 10) so He could be our Redeemer. How do you arrive at the famous 10 are the commandments of Jesus?
