CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Part-Time Breatharian
It's sad to see Stan Lee Go. He co-created most of the amazing, fantastic and incredible superheros we know and love today, including my favourite, Spider-Man. These characters, the cartoons and movies have been a big part of my childhood and adulthood and have made me the unashamed superhero fanboy I am today. He has left us an incredible legacy of amazing characters and stories.

OMM: How much time a plushie takes to make depends on its difficulty/number of pattern pieces. For a simple one, it takes no more than a few hours to cut out the pieces and two or three days to finish. But for a more difficult one, it might take half a day to cut out the pieces and a week to finish.

I make a trek to the security office today from the lab in 40* cold (which is fine, better than in Texas heat, anyway) to personally delivery a small sample to a loading truck. My first time having to do that again since the last time I worked at Albemarle. And as I am handing it to the guard behind the desk an older lady from behind me somehow recognizes me from being a tech here nine years ago and greets me by these two words: "Scarf boy!"
... Apparently I am in fact known by multiple quirks unique only to me and no other Albemarle employee. Maybe that's what they meant during the interview when they claimed I "did my best to stand out". Because it's not only my long hair (for a guy), my eclectic taste in music, my generally keeping to myself or giving the impression that I wanted to be left alone in general to get my work done, but now also the fact that I wore a scarf.
I guess really that few people still do wear scarves nowadays.

Something to cheer me up after a long, quite challenging day at work. I stop by to get groceries on the way home, the well-mannered and politely talkative black lady ringing me up asks for my ID, and when I give it to her, she says with a smile after the fact that I looked way younger than what my age on the ID says.
I am just "okay" at best when it comes to physical attractiveness in my own opinion (we all know that those such as the good Miss @Somber and my dear lady knight comrade @Multifavs are the beautiful ones around here ^_- ), but I admit that I am always flattered to have so many mistake me for being in my early twenties, still. I hope I do not become too vain about looking young, even if not terribly handsome. ^-^
