CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, Westboro Baptist Church is coming to Michigan to protest my high school. Part of me wants to welcome them with a drive-by slushie shower, but that wouldn't be Christ-like.

What did your high school even do that was so ungodly in their eyes and deserving of their wrath via "God hates you all" protest signs, may I ask?

Bad day at work today. 
So if I may ask that you all please pray for my better performance and focus tomorrow.
The first mistake was understandable considering I tried to go too far out on my own and attempt something I had only been shown once. But the second mistake in the same area in the same day is definitely one of those things that no matter what the circumstances will bring the wrath of Nel down upon you. Thankfully I didn't have to hear it from him since he wasn't there today but it might still happen tomorrow when he comes back, or he'll gripe my trainer Sara out instead and I'll feel bad for that even if it doesn't get to her nerves (it would mine).
And then there's this dang awful substance I remember having to work with last time I was there, a kind of resin which we use in this one test to determine the cloudiness of CP2000 once it dissovles and heats up in that resin, right? And it is super annoying to handle. And when it spills .... ugh. Sucks to try to clean up. And since the test involves two instances of pouring out that resin solution into another vial - one of them also being superheated - you have to be really slow and deliberate, especially if your dexterity suffers naturally as mine seems to. Thankfully Sara didn't pitch a fit over that, and everyone's done that at some point or another so I don't feel that bad. In fact, the person who was relieving my shift said she fumbled and spilled the resin just the night before and basically screamed aloud her laments to the heavens, and to great understandability.
Still, it's easy to get so busy with things running back and forth that you will forget to be slow and safe with handling this stuff, or just feel so forced to hurry to get everything done that you'll do it anyway, knowing the dangers. I am simply going to have to train myself to keep moving slowly and carefully with this one no matter how pressured the circumstances may ever be. ... And if Nel doesn't like it, ... eh, tough.
Oh, well, tomorrow's another day. That test for cloudiness with the resin is SO inconvenient, though.

The Houston Texans finally won a game and ended their 9-game losing streak. Deshaun Watson also gave me 30+ points this week - I might actually win this matchup.

I would like to ask that you keep praying for me...after doing better for a little while I was struggling again yesterday. I'm getting too defensive and sensitive. I seem to take disagreements as personal attacks or insults to my opinions and beliefs. I sometimes feel that it would be wrong not to defend mine when certain topics come up, so I say something...but then if I say something I feel bad about it, for some reason. And then I start feeling bad about myself.
I was also feeling sad because now all four of my grandparents have seemed to have some form of dementia, and one of them still living has been sitting around wanting to die for a while now, which is really sad to hear about. I was also scared because what if my parents get that someday? I won't be able to stay with them then. And what if my brother and I then get it someday? I worry too much. :/
...I am feeling better today so far, though.

God tells us to cast all of our worries and cares on Him, because He cares about us so much and doesn't want us to worry; He will take care of them (1 Peter 5:7). I'm sure it must be very difficult to see a family member going through that. I hope you're able to overcome those feelings about disagreements as well. Over the years, I've learned to avoid debates like that for the most part, and to only engage in them if God leads me to or if necessary. Otherwise, I just end up getting frustrated and it becomes a waste of time and effort.
