  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

I don't have any ideas for Christmas yet. :p I used to always get ideas in June to September and then I'd be annoyed because I was really excited to do them but I had to wait until November or December. I should try to think of some before too long, though. It would make Christmastime more fun. ^_^

Agreed

This year I was thinking of making more handmade manger scenes (some large-scaled and others as ornaments), and giving them away to family / friends, including friends here on the forums. Might be fun. :ebil:

I'm playing the Rigatonis this weekend in fantasy football. May it be a bloodbath of Italian proportions.
Well this should be interesting. I wonder how many points I'll win by this weekend. :eheh:

i dont know saucy...my brain doesnt know...i just need to count them...why am i still awake??? lol

And somehow after the last two days of work in which I barely slept, I was asleep for most of the last 18 hours. O_O

Naturally, many dreams at random did come. One continuous dream (the kind where somehow it picks up where it left off after you open your eyes, look around for a few moments and then close them again) where I think I was this one servant of Abraham in the Bible whose name was Ende (pronounced "in-dee") and I was riding with him on horseback ahead of his family to scout out the new promised land that God had told him to start seeking in Genesis. It was a strange valley-like place that extended for hundreds of miles with high cliffs on either side and almost nothing but dense greenery below. The previous savage inhabitants of the land would spot us and cry out warnings, summoning their kinfolk to battle, and brandish weapons to chase after us as we rode through. And I would be like, calling out in fear, "Leave us in peace! We've not come to invade!" as I galloped away from them, while old man Abraham would just tell me to shut up and ignore them and keep riding, unafraid. Eventually we outran them and came to the end of the valley, which was just some clay wall barely taller than either of us that could easily be climbed over, but in this dream was somehow a nigh impenetrable barrier to the actual promised land itself where God wanted to move Abraham's clan. So as we endeavored to tear it down and see the great city in heaven lying just beyond, somehow the rest of Abraham's family caught up to us on mere foot (where did the hostile natives go?) and five of them stepped forward to excitedly help. Four of these five women were clearly the March sisters, ... and one sister who just didn't make the cut for Little Women, I guess. ^_^ And Abraham immediately broke character by turning to me and addressing me as SK instead of Ende, saying with an exasperated huff (so I guess he's had to deal with similar antics from me before), "SK ... do NOT flirt with them. I forbid you from marrying a single one of the sisters and becoming an in-law of mine." .... I guess because in those days a man may commonly ask to marry a woman in the very same momentous occasion in which he flirts with her. But hey, did Abraham know me or what? Cherubino strikes again when a lovely group of sisters innocently arrive on the scene. :p

Good morning all! :yawn1:

Kinda wish I could change my online schedule. Most of my friends are around more later in the day, but I'm more able to (and more in the mood to) be around earlier in the day.
You can set up your schedule however you wish! It's your life.

Ladies!!! A friend of mine told me about a devotional app yesterday and once I downloaded it, I love it. It is called First 5 and it's put out by Proverbs 31 ministry. Anyway, if you have room on your mobile device and are looking for a solid devotional program I encourage you to look into it.

Unfortunately, I can't. I have to base my schedule around my parents' and brother's schedules...and later in the day is often when both computers are taken (I don't have a phone of my own).
You should be like, "look, I'm a knightess now. I'm in charge of things around here. You revolve your schedules around me! Capish? King Saucy has spoken!" I'm sure they'll give in :D
