  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Are you confused on the definition of the word agree?
Well, poke fun if you wish, but you need fifty-one votes to pass anything in the senate, and the Republicans only had fifty-one seats. That meant you needed all fifty-one to vote the same way. Now it's even worse - we only have fifty seats.

Plus the casting vote of the VP, if required. Mathematically, you are essentially in the same position, if all vote the same way...

Yes, I think the Republicans have a 50-49 majority.

The Republicans are able to pass any legislation requiring a simple majority provided they all vote in the same fashion. This is an advantage not a detriment.

Is there still fighting going on in Afghanistan?

Yes, let me be the first to assure you that despite your not being informed on the subject American service people are still dying in Afghanistan.

What if driving off road would be the only feasible means for survival?
What would a human driver do in this scenario?

I would not want a robot car.
Have you ever flown in an airplane?

I trust a person to avoid an accident. You really can't trust a machine.
People kill each other every single day. Often with the intention. Many times on accident.

I don't know if I trust either one over the other.

Oh boy, you’ve really swallowed the pill, haven’t you...?

So, the government’s own departments of labour and bureau of statistics are deliberately constructing false data...?? Is that the dream you cling to...?
Do you know how many high ups have been fired in the last six months? Its called "draining the swamp." Here in America when we get someone who truly loves this country in power and has the wherewithal... things can get done. In your country your "leaders" set you up, and you have now lost your right to bear arms. You know what the new crime stats are? Do you really?

Japan's sovereignty was destroyed in WWll. Remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki? There would have been no peace unless they were oppressed by the treat of great damage and death. The EU? The EU oppresses freedom. The sheep follow and do not understand. Only England and few others still have a few good men who understand freedom.

So, we are to go assemble iPhones in China? Accept slave labor? Real solution you got there.
That's not oppression. Japan was still well and kicking when we won, and we didn't oppress them, we invested in them. They were our enemies decreed by their emperor, who was essentially a god to them, and still they came around.

The EU doesn't oppress freedom, it invests against conflict by tying people together with trade. Europe was constantly at war before the EU was established. We fought 2 WORLD wars as a result of it.

People can fall asleep, or be distracted. Or have malicious intent.
Computers can malfunction.. and even be hacked and caused to malfunction..... and those hurt can have no recourse as far as accountability. Can you sue a computer?

Question never asked? What was God's purpose during those prehistoric years? After all... they too were God's creations.
Not being God and not having been alive before the '80s, I'm not sure why I might be expected to know that.

You're still missing the point. Sure we rebuilt Japan. After we oppressed them into SURRENDERING.

Not being God and not having been alive before the '80s, I'm not sure why I might be expected to know that.

I used to attend Bible Studies given by a local diocese .... but, the studies for some reason had to be given outside of the church. They were given in a community center. These visiting priests gave Bible studies. I attended a few since the community center was next door to me.

On one night a priest was covering a subject. I raised my hand and shared with him something he did not know on the subject. He mulled it over... and then in a very humble way told me in front of everyone... "You are a Presbyterian" (I was not, but let it ride).. "You have been into the Bible for a long time. We Catholics have only been so for a short time." (he was contemplating what I told him and I could tell it made contact with his soul)..... Most Catholics in the area did not attend. Only a few.

Have you are sought to be taught the Bible?

Well, a person would prioritize wanting to avoid hitting the car coming towards him. A machine can't prioritize - it has to obey its program.
That's a contradiction, as programs have priorities.
