  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What are some of the sins we unconsciously make every day or that are less known to the majority besides things related to ten commandments?

being not born again is sin . God said you are either born of him or of the Devil , even innocent person trying to be "good person" is sinning all the time because he is being in rebelion against God .

Talking random unneseccary stuff is sin also called "babbling " .

Ten commandments were only to show you that you are unable to keep them .
You sin every time when you don't love your neighbour as yourself , meaning if you bought yourself once something and didn't share with your neighbour then you were selfish and that's sin
Example : you ate full pizza yourself and didn't share or even ask if anybody wanted , that's sin and even for this one could go to hellfire.

Sin is disobedience against God , God has very high standards = himself , even doing something small like eating forbidden fruit caused whole humanity to live in such conditions...

That's why you need Jesus as replacement for yourself and it's a gift , Galatians 2:16 , Ephesians 2:8-9

"All unrighteousness is sin..."

I think some examples you are looking for would be gossiping, impatience with people, holding a grudge, etc.

When Jesus said "love your enemies", it wasn't related to an enemy during wartime, but meant feuds or unhealthy competitions between people.

All those petty acts of unrighteousness are sin. They are what the Roman church defines as "venial" sins, and are things nearly everyone is guilty of every day. And, "if we say we are without sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us".

Of course mortal sin, as a willful and deliberate act, is another matter.

Sin is a transgression against the commandments, so technically every potential sin is related to them in one way or another.
One thing to consider is the 10th Commandment which regards our desires. Sins against that commandment which are not so obvious to the conscience would be desiring legitimate things inordinately. For instance, an obsession with having or doing or being something. The obsession is a sin since that good thing becomes your god so to speak.
The Bible does not say "money is the root of all kinds of evil." It says, "the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil."

For example, regarding the greatest commandment of the law of Moses, which Jesus referred it, sin would be not to love God with ALL your heart, mind, soul and strength. 99% and you've fallen short. But how you know? It may be unconscious.
