Here is what Jesus said about this subject -
- those who have done good, to the resurrection of life
Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:28-29
Paul said the same thing -
- eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality
5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are "treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,
Romans 2:5-8
- but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath
Born again Christians who do not keep His commandments will not inherit eternal life.
- He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar,
4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 1 John 2:4-5
Those who abide in Him, but later do not remain in Him, are cast into the fire and burned.
If
anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and
throw them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6
- Here is how the bible says we are to abide in Him -
Now
he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. 1 John 3:24
We all have the same conditions for inheriting eternal life.
If you believe a born again Christian can break His commandments and live in sin, in which they hate God and hate their neighbor then please post the scriptures that prove this.
- are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
- for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
9 For the commandments,“You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Romans 13:9-14
Keeping His commandments is love: Loving God and loving our neighbor.
- For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments... 1 John 5:3
Born again Christians who do not keep His commandments do not love God, nor do they love their neighbor.
